It does suck BUT it's weird cause like the items per survivors were added together, it didn't just take the highest number for me.
Example: My Dwight had 101 Will-o-Wisp flashlights on PC, and 199 on Playstation. I now have 300 total.
That was said to pull the highest number but that was incorrect, which is a pleasant surprise.

Literally was surprisingly and pleasantly smooth process, and extremely fast.

Can someone confirm if they don't merge the characters inventory? (items, add-ons and offerings)

I just spoke about how on my Dwight my items were combined. I didn't take screenshots of any item add-ons sadly, but the items were all combined 100%.
Offerings… those also got combined. I had 50 BPS on Playstation and 69 on PC on my Dwight and now I have 109 total.

And basing it on the number of add-ons I have in my Dwight inventory, I'd assume those got combined too cause I have 150 syringes and I rarely buy those in the bloodweb.

Someone in a discord server noticed their inventory was not combined, that they lost anniversary items from console
I guess I need to tell them it might be a bug

I can't comment on killer cause I didn't play much killer on Playstation, I got more into it with the switch to PC and my main (Wesker) I never touched on Playstation.

Well it was said to not be combined, but are they 100% sure they had the items they are claiming they are missing? Cause I haven't seen anyone post issues as of yet, but if it is an issue for them that sucks. Hopefully they took screenshots just in case they need them, that's what I did.

Decided to take the plunge. Everything has worked just fine. It does not seem to regard Auric purchases as DLC. Mikaela, the Silent Hill Chapter, as well as any characters that came with the Switch version are still trapped over there. Everything else made it over to Steam (and vice versa), though.
The only negative is that I didn't get any compensation shards for the characters that I bought with Auric cells on the Switch, even though I've actually purchased them twice (on both Steam and Switch). Seems you only get the compensation if you bought them as DLC from the platform shop. Not a huge deal but a bit disappointing and I thought I should mention it.

I got all my Steam progress transferred to the Switch. All of my DLC's and inventory are there. The only thing I really "lost" was the red scratch mark portrait for Dwight that I had gotten on the Switch. Yeah, my Dwight on Steam had the higher Prestige level overall, but I only bothered to P3 him on the Switch version and then hadn't touched him since.
I have a little "before and after" comparison. And a side note, it really sucks to have the PTB UI on the Switch version…

if you happened to play on both platforms before merging and progressing the Rift, did the Rift levels combine?

Yeah, I had a lot of shards saved up on Steam. I don't really spend them, except for the occasional Killer perk or extra bloodpoints from the shrine. Looks like my game currencies were combined from both versions, which is pretty cool.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, I'll have to rebuy characters like Doctor & Hag that were included for free on PS4? Or is it just because they were on Switch?

Yeah, that's what I'm confused about. I saw posts from devs that you'd get highest number items, not additive. Seems to be some miscommunication, lol

No, it's just a Switch thing (no DLC sharing on Switch). You should be good, I think.
But maybe you might, since they came with the game and might not be DLC… I'm not 100% sure.

Here's hoping it's the former.
I had the chance to pickup those 4 characters for 2250 a piece a few weeks ago for the Anniversary, but figured they'd transfer.
I'll update later today when I get the chance to merge.

When i try to sync my playstation account it keeps saying it can't connect to the server, anyone else having this issue?
Update: I used my phone to sync and it works so idk guess the pc website is messed up

how did you purchase them? Via Auric Cells? Via platform Store? Which platform?

Out of curiosity, do you know if purchases made with Auric Cells for characters on the Switch will get shared in cross-progression? Not the Switch DLC but the in-game store.
I switched from the Switch to PC a few years ago. When I loaded up the Switch version, I forgot I had abandoned Auric Cells there that I never spent because cross progression didn't exist. Trying to figure out if I should use the remaining Auric Cells to purchase a cosmetic or if I can purchase some of the newer characters.

I can confirm that auric purchased cosmetics definitely do transfer from Switch to elsewhere!
But I'm not sure about characters purchased with auric, since I used Iri shards to buy most of my original characters (and the characters that I bought with auric were all duplicate licensed ones that I also wanted to play as on Switch).

I can't say for certain, as I don't own a Switch and haven't seen anybody mention it.
However, Characters purchased in-game via Auric Cells seems like they'd transfer to other platforms, despite the characters being bought on Switch.

I have linked my Switch to steam and the auric cells from the Switch were added. I had 650 on Steam and 50 on Switch and now I have 700 auric cells. 😁

I didn't think cells carries over so I bought an alan wake outfit

I think those might be Auric Cells from the Rift. I synced the accounts and checked and the Switch version has a different number than my PC version.

It's been years since I actively played on Switch so I'm not sure. I know that I bought auric cells on Switch. No way to tell if they came back from the rift. I only know that they added them after linking.

Hey Jocelynbee, do you think there is any way we could get a comprehensive list of what did/didn't make it in the transfers? I'm guess just dlc and auric cells for switch? And everything else seems to make it.

I'm having an issue when I click the sync button for PS, it partially spins and stops and gives no indicator that sync was successful. My switch and Steam accounts gives me a pop-up confirming the sync. Any thoughts?
