game lacks automated punishment for troll survivors helping killer

this happens more often than not. We lost the game and it's down to 2 survivors. The killer wants a 4K and doesn't kill the second last survivor. I'm hiding and then the killer picks up the downed survivor. Then they go help the killer find me.

This is pretty much against the rules and I know the report system doesn't do anything.

Its sort of a joke and I dont think I'll be playing (you just lost a paying customer) this game anymore. There's no punishment to trolling or giving up so thats why its so rampant. Sorry but your game risks seeing its playerbase leave due to poisonous trolls

The thing is, how should this be automatically detected? We have two things from BHVR which work automatically - Bots and the Chat Filter. And both are subpar.

I fully agree that it should be banned if a Survivor rats another Survivor out, especially if the Killer is dropping them. This is clearly working together with the Killer and a bannable offense.

But there are three examples where I think an automated system would be problematic:

Scenario 1 - The Survivor hiding gets found because the other Survivor is leading the chase to them. Without the Survivor in chase knowing that the hiding Survivor is there. What if an automated system detects that Survivor A runs to Survivor B and Killer switches the Chase?

Scenario 2 - Happened to me. 8 Hooks - 3 on Renato, dead, 3 on Vittorio, dead, 2 on Bill on Death Hook - and I find Bill. I decided to slug him to find the Nea, who was hiding most of the time. She was not idle or anything, she did Gens, but whenever an Unhook was done by her, she was hiding, which basically forced me to go after the unhooked Survivor. I always try not to tunnel, but if I only see one Survivor, I go after them. So I slugged Bill and before he bled out, I let him wiggle free. In the end, Nea was dead and Bill did the last two Gens while I was chasing her and while she died. In the end, she reported both of us - the Bill did not rat her out and it was solely my decision to kill the Survivor who was letting their teammates die and I let the Billy escape because I felt bad for leaving him on the ground for so long.

And I think an automated system might punish Bill and myself here, even tho nobody worked together and I just decided to kill the Nea and let Bill go and Bill just decided to not save the Nea.

Scenario 3 - 2 Survivors dead, 1 Survivor on Hook, 1 Survivor hiding. Killer decides to let the Anti-Facecamp mechanic work so that the Survivor can get off the Hook. The Survivor themselves decides that they want to rat out the hiding Survivor.

Now, what should the automated system do? Should it also punish the Killer, even if the Killer did not even want that? What the Survivor did was not correct at all, but it was out of control of the Killer.

You see, it can be problematic to have an automated system. I think the current report system for this is enough, because I would rather see someone not being banned, even if they did something wrong, than someone being banned because the automatic system failed.

(Even tho, I have to repeat - it is a bannable offense and should be banned. Survivors working with the Killer should not be a thing)

Just to clarify, working with the other team is against the game rules, so if you encounter it, you should record your match, report in game and open a ticket here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/categories/6713776396180-Dead-by-Daylight

I do not think an automated system for this type of offenses is something feasible.

I was doing gens. I had the highest score. The other survivor got downed so i went into the locker waiting for the killer to hook them but then the trolling commenced.

Riot games can automate punishment for trolling League of Legends. Pretty sure you can do it here. Basically the report system does nothing. Yeah sorry but I'm done with this game. I've spent probably over $100 on cosmetics but idc, its not worth my time with the trolls

It is frustrating and a lot of people don't record games. However I have been in this position lots of times and more than not they are TTV's. Whether they actually are or not is to be seen. But sometimes the killer will make a deal in chat or PM and the they tunnel the non groupie out and they just have fun. I don't record games but if something fishy starts to happen I will record and send it.

As mentioned some killers will realize one player is hiding and purposesly go after them and let one live, it has happened to me a few times. Sometimes the rats get hooked endgame too.

An actual automated thing isn't going to happen unless they redo BP and track low player amounts and do something that way.
