why is it this fire bubble tomlocate other survivors when you hit someone instead of auras?

    Devs said It was because Distortion would be broken against him and the fact of having auras would give away survivors possitions way easier

    Because that would be too powerful. Maybe as an ultra rare add on.

    Except lockers hide auras these days and whatever the legion see goes through everything.

    Auras and locations are functionally different. There are perks that hide your aura like distortion and sole survivor, and hiding in a locker will hide your aura as well. You could also hide your aura by hiding behind another aura, like a generator. The locations are a crucial part of his kit and need to be reliable, and auras would make it too unreliable.
