"Tactical dcs"
Im gonna paint the picture for you guys right im freddy i have level 1 ruin level 2 remember me level 2 noed and level 2 bloodwarden now i get the game so right off i find my obsession awesome! i get my 3 stacks on my remember me dope so lets skip ahead we get down to 2 players i went out of terror radius to get the other to lead me to the nea so he does i end up getting a hit on her and end up downing him now at this point i know shes around so i left him on the floor for atleast 20 seconds boom dc after game they said "We had to fight for this one and the dc was tactical so she could live"
Now to the point behavior when are you gonna see this as actual gameplay abuse because it is they are basically ruining the game im not trying to sound entitled but the mindset survivors deserve hatch is a problem can we get some type of delay on hatch opening when someone dc's sounds fair to me i mean i get you guys ban for dcs but this does not happen all the time but it is a issue dcing is dcing no matter the reason its breaking a rule.
Note: In no way shape or form am i trying to sound entitled but this situation is a legit issue it happens a lot and goes under behaviors radar i do think it needs to be addressed because its just not fair that someone can dc and basically rob me of a perfect game. on a good note my Freddy is almost p3 just got p2 now PogChamp

Dedicated servers will bring some kind of dc handling that we've all been asking for, until then dcing is just part of the game unfortunately :(

The DC's to give the other survivor the hatch are quite annoying as well as against the games Terms of Service. They don't care though as the ban levels are too forgiving and they know they'll never get punished for it.

Well we know they are getting much stricter once dedicated servers come so it seems we're just kind of SoL until then unfortunately.

We don't know that. All we know is that they have no intention of doing anything about disconnects until dedicated servers come out. For all we know, the only thing they'll do is add to what counts as a disconnect and not make the punishing limit any tighter at all.

you have a good point. their is two good solutions and honestly both of them would be great implemented together.
1: be much stiffer on bans for all DCs. they will be able to work on this with dedicated servers.
2: change unbreakable into a perk that can be used multiple times like No Mither. to counter the long drawn out process of being slugged while a killer desperate to get a 4k looks for the other player. most do not mind getting slugged if the other persons right there and you are chasing them instantly. but if you slug some one to go search for the other then yea lots mind that. its this desperation to get a 4k that has drove people to where they would rather dc to give some one the hatch because of that boring bleed out game play just is not fun. this would be a good counter to it.
3: just be happy with a 3k and hang the person and try to beat the other to the hatch.

You totally sound entitled.
You say Survivors shouldn't feel entitled to the hatch, but at the same time killers aren't entitled to 4Ks. You fought for your 4K, but they also fought to survive. You cannot invalidate their effort, just as they can't invalidate yours. The point is, you both worked hard for it and you both came up short of your goal of your perfect game. That means it was a good match.
Tactical DCs are a sacrifice. They aren't done out of spite. They are done as a heroic sacrifice. Don't cheapen someone's sacrifice just to satisfy your own ego.
If it really bothers you just report them all for Griefing or whatever it is against the rules for, and let BHVR handle it.

Im sorry bare with me for a moment while i put on my kick ass gloves for this. Warning facts dont care about your feelings.
Okay first off lets get this outta the way there is a difference between dying and dcing very big difference what that person did was abuse the hatch mechanic survivors complained about killers abusing exploits but yet they abuse the dc for hatch exploit hm interesting If they had such a issue with being slugged unbreakable is a thing pretty good perk in that situation.
Secondly i won that match hands down but because of lack of enforcement which dont worry trust me survivors are gonna get the unlucky end of the stick come dedicated servers because i imagine theres gonna be a huge ban wave coming a lot of people are gonna learn to follow the rules of the game.
Third dcing to give someone hatch is breaking the rule of dcing for one abusing a exploit for 2 and 3 just being a plain out loser.
You know whats really entitled actually trying to justify that in itself was not a perfect game i was basically robbed of a perfect game because someone dc'd because of lack of punishment and behavior is to blame but they have openly said that wrong is gonna be a right come servers and im gonna hold them to their word strict rules on it better be in place and im sure they will people are tired of this dc just because you feel beaten.

Well preventing all 5 gens from being done is still not a perfect game since hatch spawns anyways

I mean in the situation where i actually had them beat and would have 4k'd id say that was a pretty perfect game i all around outplayed them as freddy.

Not gonna lie id actually like a devs point of view on this because now im very curious to see behaviors stance on this @Peanits Is there plans to start banning for this with video proof i dont mind recording my games to prove players like this are abusing the mechanic before servers come.

At this point people should stop complaining about dcs until the dedicated servers come out (not specifically implying you) and if dcs are still a problem then go ahead and have a uproar about it

But they are a problem or else people wouldnt be complaining thats the thing i usually dont like complaining unless its a issue but it is and its SO common with most swf groups to dc to give hatch overall its a problem.

I know what you are saying but they already said that they are working on fixing dcs with the dedicated servers so what im saying is wait until it comes out and if you are still having dc issues then by all means complain as much as your heart desires because I will probably be right there with you

All im saying is they should just give the mods the power to ban with video proof make an example outta people early assert dominance show them that its no longer allowed Im aware its coming with servers but lets be real i think me and a lot of others want a temp fix not and banning for it with video proof is a temp fix.

Why is everyone under the impression dedicated servers will fix all our problems though it might fix some things but I feel like the idea that dedicated servers will fix everything is kinda silly.

I just feel you need to set your ego aside. Don't you feel embarrassed with all the "I" and "My perfect game" stuff you are saying? Really.
Just wait for dedicated servers and let BHVR do their thing. Nobody likes DCs, survivors actually also hate DCs almost as much as Killers do. Let's see how it pans out when dedicated servers come.

It has nothing to do with ego and everything to do with survivor mentality people are so use to doing this its been promoted on streams its been promoted by survivors in general and its honestly a problem im just saying its a problem it has been for awhile we keep hearing about servers lets be real those are probably not coming for atleast 2 years theres so much that needs to be done even if its a temp fix something needs to be done in the mean time.

@legion_main I am not complaining just pointing out that we shouldn't put our expectations too high, some people might just start alt f4ing to avoid a punishment if that's the way they are going. Some people are just acting like it's the best thing that will ever happen.

This is simply incorrect information. It has indeed been stated multiple times that they will be getting stricter once dedicated servers come.
EDIT: I'll even throw you just one example posted by Not_Queen only minutes ago..
"We are continuing to punish DCs after they go over a certain threshold (that's the only thing we can do until Dedicated Servers are live) With the migration to Dedicated Servers, we will bring a new and improved way to handle leavers, which, hopefully, will include immediate punishment (I can't say more on this Design until it is final and approved)"

For the time being, they are treated just like any other disconnect. They are tracked automatically by the backend and they will be banned if their disconnects pass beyond a certain threshold. At the moment, we're not looking to change that, however, this is something that we could potentially handle differently once dedicated servers come along. We are currently in the planning stages for a new system to handle disconnects, and this is something we are going to take into consideration.
