What is an element of one of the maps that you really like?

I always hear about the things people don't like. I would like for a change to hear about the things that make people smile. Is there any part of one of the maps or map design in general that you really like/enjoy?

For me personally, my favorite thing to do as survivor is to set of the Horn on the Pale Rose. Never fails to make me smile just a lil' bit. If every map had something just as bombastic, I wouldn't ever get other things done as survivor.

I agree the horn is excellent. Would be great if it stunned the killer for a few seconds as well.

    I like corn.

Widely hated by most Killers, as not suffering from it is rare.

I'm one of the lucky ones.

But just not suffering from it isn't why i like it.

Survivors simply assume that i suffer from it, and that's not the wrong thing to think.

It's just that they're wrong in this case, and following them and countering 360s isn't any more difficult to me than usual.

Harvester tech. That's some good stuff. I'll even settle for crossing the hole in Badham. I love the little things like that.

Also the lockers on jungle gyms. They're in the perfect spot for a Head On.

I like being able to go on the roofs in Haddonfield. Always makes for some stealthy mind games, especially when as a survivor you leave the roof one way whilst the killer enters from another

I've already commented once but i've always loved the crotus prenn asylum map (sorry if i spelt that wrong and i dont know if that's a map or region so i'm talking about the nurse map). I think it's a well made map with open areas and nicely spaced loops so both sides have a chance. The main building as well has lots of potential for mind games as survivors can switch between loops and killers can you walls and gaps in them to their advantage, sneaking round a different way

I love the snow on Ormond as survivors. As killer not so much .... it hides scratchmarks so well. One would think tracking someone in snow would be easy .... Not in the Entity's realm.

    On Haddonfield I love the exact replica of Michael Myers' house from the original movie;

I have to smile everytime I see the trashbag next to one of the open doorways at Mother's Dwelling. It looks like a crouching Claudette in her default clothes. The first couple of times when I played killer on that map, I fell for it.

Haha yeah, I too learned to ignore that one. But this makes me wonder how many actual Claudettes hide there.

I love The Game. That map is a masterpiece and masterclass to me of having stealthy spot and healthy distribution of pallets. Also, I love indoor maps, I wish we had more of them.

I like the schematics and other stuff lying around Pig's workshop in The Game.

That map has so much fan service in it that it’s unreal.

There are some things I enjoy about a few maps in general.

Lery's for instance is generally one of my favorite maps which is why I'm glad it's getting fixed up in the next patch. An example of a detail I like in the map is the monitor in the center and the screams it plays - I think that's a nice detail.

I like that as Plague you can puke on the Myers Jackolantern and it stays on there for a bit.

I love the light rain in the Red Forest, especially because its sound is very realistic (going under the mother's house porch makes you feel really there).

I also love Lery's treatment theatre and the loud sliders that activate when the gen is repaired.

I like how the doors slide open when you finish a gen on the game. Really brings the SAW aesthetic and vibe

I love the big drop in The Game, I like it a lot, especially when I play Trapper

And, even tho I hate Preschool, I love when I manage to cross the hole in the school by lunging as killer, especially when the survivor I'm chasing doesn't expect it XD

Maps like The Game and others that have doors that open when you finish a gen are cool, I would love it if they made something more of that idea. Have a gen on each map that is in a risky location but opens some sort of trap door where there is a unique reward waiting. Maybe something a survivor can use only in that match or it could just be a chest with a rare item. Just an idea.

Oh, nice topic. Introducing some positivity into the heap of negativity surrounding the most recent release.

    Hmm let's see.

    1. I really enjoy the atmosphere of Ormond, the snow is a nice touch
    2. The game's sliding metal doors. Makes it very satisfying, I also really like the whole aesthetic, and the workshop room with the two annoying pallets.
    3. This isn't really a map aspect in the game, but more of a killer-specific map specific; The sound coming off of the Plague's cleansing stations.

The dead bloke sitting on a chair in Gideon...with an unactivated reverse bear trap on.

You see, that actually makes sense. Most traps in the Saw movies activated when the victim panicked and stood up. That guy is actually crazy smart and sat there, not moving until he died. It would actually be weird if he was sitting there and it had gone off.

I like the sound of footsteps in the swamp, very satisfying.
