Nice assumptions. Never used mom because I considered it unbalanced and op. Still I think people don't use him because mom is useless now.

Before he got released I said I would main him just because I like the actor, but I grew attached to my boy Jake, I will never betray him

Yeah I hardly ever see him anymore. RIP MoM

You're right pathetic is the wrong word.

Also why exactly can't a rework be considered a buff? If It's stronger than the older version? You saying Freddy wasn't buffed?

  • GrootDude

The reworked version isn’t stronger, honestly I preferred old Freddy.

  • Madjura
    Madjura Member Posts: 2,477

Yes, but rework Freddy has better design and is healthier for the game

Like most of the survivors. Maxed him out quickly, got all 3 teachables, he wasn't my main. Finished using the rest of the offerings and items on him. Don't need him anymore

Got his adept, unlocked his perks, and then went back to my Dwighty boy.

I used MoM for 2 or 3 weeks. Honestly it was a strong perk, but was it really any stronger than dead hard? MoM was a one use perk with a significant drawback (aura reading). Dead hard can be used multiple times throughout the game.

    Ash's perks are terrible.

  • Ember_Hunter
    Ember_Hunter Member Posts: 1,693

I would main him if I could buy DLC stuff. I don't care much about his perks.

  • Madjura
    Madjura Member Posts: 2,477

Correct, it did the same thing Dead Hard did. Except you could use it only once. Instead of running Mettle Of Man you could have just used Dead Hard to negate many attacks instead of just one. The only time it really made a difference was when you run Mettle Of Man and an exhaustion perk to simulate having that exhaustion perk and being able to Dead Hard once per game

It was never as insanely strong as people claimed it was. And yes now all of his perks are absolute garbage and will never be relevant instead of just two of his perks being garbage that will never be relevant

I personally hate Ash. There always the most cocky out of the group and it always ends up getting them killed.

Most people don't want to dump points into prestiging/learning all perks on new survivors and just stick to their mains

I played Jane for Head On for a while but switched back to Kate/Quentin right when I got the teachable.

  • Saitamfed
    Saitamfed Member Posts: 1,622

Well that depends. Most of people say MoM but the fact is, first is annoying to hear "What now?" Everytime you choose him. Don't missunderstand me, I am glad a survivor have voice in the main lobby, but is a bit overwhelming as the time pass, like hearing the same song for weeks.

As another user said, he's one of the loudest survivors wich makes hard for you to to be stealthy, yes we have a perk but is better to choose a more silent survivor than using a perk slot just to be silent.

needs more customisation items, same reason I don't play any of the licencsed dlc survs

Should check on the use of MoM as a perk too. Bet it is at rock bottom. That was a hell of a bait-and-switch move on BHVR's part. Hats of to you, you got your money out of it. How you did not know it would need to be changed before putting it up for sale is beyond me. Either incompetence, or predatory sales tactic. lol

I mean he is loud af. I play him all the time but holy hell I can't play him without Iron Will.

  • Warlock_2020
    Warlock_2020 Member Posts: 1,867

Jeff and Jane are like that as well. Really loud. I can hear those three from a mile away if I wounded them. Add Jake into the mix, he is a whiner and a half.

  • DRAGOON
    DRAGOON Member Posts: 126

I stopped playing him when the Ashy Slashy cosmetic was messing up the accuracy of the flashlight beam, then they "fixed" the accuracy but then the beam had no effect on the killer what so ever. He is also loud which many have mentioned and iron will would fix that but I'd rather just play another survivor that's naturally more quieter. Don't regret buying him but he is my least favorite male survivor at the moment.

To me, Ash is LOUD. It's the same reason I don't play as Jeff anymore, which is a shame.

I see Ash a decent amount. He's not the most popular, but you do see him.

Exactly. MoM was too strong, but this wasnt a nerf. They removed it entirely from the game. It should have had a broken status affect added or something, instead of just completely removing it from the game. Adding a nerf that is dependent on something you know is already a "known issue" (protection hits not registering correctly) was a double slap. You dealt with it as quickly as possible and left it laying in it's own pool of sloppy, lazy programming and game administration, IMO.

Even if BHVR had no intentions of doing a bait and switch, the fact is they still did. I would not have bought him with his current perks.

It was a real ######### thing to do and I won't be buying any other DLC's until that is made right in some way. Give me half my money back or something.

Hey @peanits Can you take a look and tell us what percentage of matches MoM is used now? Bet it's less than 5 percent and that's WITH people trying for adept. Bet it's 0 percent in rank 1-3.🙄

I don't play him because everyone who does seems to be an ######### for some reason.

  • Scytere

Because people got him to 40 for his perks and then went back to their favourite main to add them.

For me it wasn’t because of perks but more so disappointment I guess? I was happy ash was in the game especially because Bruce Campbell was going to be the voice and have lines “in game” however what we got was kinda disappointing imo. What I expected was for ash to say “groovy” when completing a gen, saying something like “come on I gotcha” when rescuing, saying “bastard” when getting hit and sorta mocking the killer when getting a stun. But what we got was “wHat nOw?”, “LooK whoS shittIng in thE Tall gRass.” every ten seconds while waiting in the lobby. On top of that ash is Jeff 2.0 with being injured sounding like an alarm going off really makes me not want to play as him unless running iron will. Didn’t care for the perks and I knew MoM was going to be nerfed anyways so I just bought ash because I love evil dead but I guess it was lower expectations then I expected and stealth doesn’t exist with him.

I still do now and again but he is really loud when injured and I don't have IW for him as yet or I would play him more.

People keep mentioning the perk, but I just got irritated of hearing him talk in the lobbies and how loud he is on freaking totems.

Then again, I'm a Feng main...... she's loud af

@Chickenchaser Um...I've had plenty of killers bring MYC, wait just outside of terror radius, wait until someone pulls me off the hook, and then come running, hit the MYC and then me(or just wait outside of terror radius until I get unhooked to come hit me again). DS is not "pathetic". It has it's uses, and honestly this has happened enough times to where I finally decided to start leveling Laurie.

Which is more pathetic? DS or that killer who is wanting an easier win?

As for Ash, I've rarely seen him. When I do he's always the one trying to egg the killer on and usually pays for it, like someone else said though.

So cut the grind in that way we could get a higher variety of survivors to adore in game.

I played Ash most of the time, but i dropped him because of his constant moaning while injured. Very annoying.

    @Astrash

An easier win? You just gave out the play book on how to lose as a killer. That's just advanced camping. Don't let the killer outsmart you like that.

@Chickenchaser You're not understanding. It's not me who's being outsmarted. It's my teammates. They're idiots who don't understand how to counter camping, DS counters my idiot teammates and the idiot killer who's trying to take advantage of that.
