Again, you generalize. Many factors go into how a game is going. What killer is played, what map is chosen ans the loadout of both killer and survivor in terms of perks is important to consider. I perosnally main Pig. Luckily enough, she is one of, if not the only killer that actually gets rewarded for not tunneling…
-
I would not generalize that. Many people fall into that mindset and think its fact for every game. Its not. I learned that over the 4k hours I played.
-
Just dont interact with the streamer. Im not doing it. I dont like this particular streamer and therefore dont watch his content. I have my reasons for this. Many streamers, however, wherther we like them or nor have a big platform with many viewers. Usually their mindset is shared by their viewers, leading to them…

Basicly this, yes. Slugging removes player agency. Getting gen-rushed does not. On top of this, why do we have to continue a cycle? "They do this, therefore I do this because they dont care either" We can be better. It might me hard, but if we continue with this egotistical mindset, this playerbase will continue to lose…
-
Then you must ask yourself: do you want to play a single player game?
-
Why aren't people slugging more? Simple answer. They want to play against people not bots.
-
Please don't generalize. As a killer player myself, I despise the way he plays. Why? Simple. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Nobody wants to get excessively slugged.
-
Then this should be addressed in some way.
-
If we go entirely lore accurate, then the game would end after those 60sec.
-
Isnt that literally how old Freddy worked?
-
@GeneralV , paint brush brings back at least one aspect of old Freddy…
-
@GeneralV what do you think my friend? I want to hear your opinions first.
-
Then again, why did he quit in the first place?
-
Maybe we are all AI???
-
Wouldnt this result in a massive loss for the killer because they cant really slow the game down at all? Only a 4k would end the game for killer.
-
If you followed dbd on multiple forms of social media, you should know. 6.1.0 introduced the Gen kick meta, which alone was a reason for people to give up already. On top of that, it nerfed a lot of the perks that people grew accustom to over 4+years. Community favorites like dh and ds where first deemed unusable, which…
-
I didn't say nerfing. I said reworking. The effect is very unhealthy for the game and is only strong against the weakest role, which is often stomped by it. It should change to have a consistently good effect that is not as unhealthy as the current version.
-
Be glad you have not experienced that… Here is a "nice" throwback: From 6 Minutes onwards.
-
Just may I ask, for how long have you been following dbd on any form of social media? These complains have been there for years. Survivors giving up has been common snce 6.1.0. While it has gona up a bit, the wave of giving up when that match came out was monstrous. The devs have been doing a lot better over the last few…
-
Depends on the situation. If only one gen remains (for whatever reason), then no. You tried to create pressure. Thats understandable at this point in a match. If it was done at 5-4 gens remaining, then yes. It was totally unnecessary.
-
I think you have to realize, that tunneling is making some people's games miserable. There are even people going out of their way to check profiles to tunnel the one with the least amount of hours. Does that help them win? More often than not it does. Does it make it less, excuse my wording here, disgusting? No. Again, you…
-
Both things are not. Thats the last thing in relation to that im gonna say.
-
Just take a step back and look at what it implies. Its not hard because its pretty obvious. Some things go waaaaaay beyond simple bm and "mindgaming". Just a few months back, we had someone here on the forums saying they where not able to play the game anymore because of that.
-
Piggy would enter as Amanda. Fitting perks could be: sole survivor, urban evasion, prove thyself, chemical trap, fast track, friendly competition, object of obsession, plot twist, resurgence, rookie spirit and smash hit. All based on descriptions of course.
-
So that we dont get another Rpd-library situation. 😊
-
I said I didn't want to tackle this again, but I just can't help myself. "Humping is fine though" What is wrong with people playing this game?!?!
-
If you like to do it, do it. You bought the game, you can do what you want (if you dont cheat or hack). We here stand for improving the overall gameplay experience. Tunneling, camping, slugging, gen rushing and stacking stuff that is way too strong leads to a negative experience for most people. Therefore you will not…
-
He is getting something big. That much is certain. Hes the main focus of the update and pretty much everyone want to see him changed. Sadly old Freddy will not make a return much to many of our forum veterans disappointment. Hopefully its gonna be a Sadako-like situation, where they combine the first and second iteration.…
-
Sound pretty good and a ton better than the current version.
-
You misunderstood. I have a lot more hours in dbd. I have over 2k hours on Pig. Solely on this one killer. Trust me, I do see them. Even some of the tournament winners that are well known. I dont like mmr to be shown. Everyones opinion matters. We all play this game. We all bought it. Just because someone has a bad take,…
-
That is subjective. Id enjoy getting tunneled if I get 6 tries at it. How about just not tunneling? If the result is the same, but not tunneling leads to a more fun experience, then go for it!
-
I think @Firellius and @jesterkind already said what I was about to type. +1 If you didnt tunnel, and they used the perk spreading hooks, which also lead to no tunnel, then you lost nothing and they gained nothing. The perk worked, yes, but in the long run it did nothing. If where able to get an insta down, it was even…
-
That sounds very interesting! Would still be worse to play against in soloq and absolutely useless in swf. I like your trail of thought though. Maybe we can turn this thread into something more positive and create some ideas for a possible rework?
-
Knock out is a slugging perk. It makes recovery slower and the survivor being harder to find. This 100% hits soloq the hardest. Rework this perk. There is no reason to defend it in any way other than you like stomping soloq groups that do not have bond equipped. Give me one good reason for this perk not getting a rework.
-
Bond does NOT turn soloq into swf. What makes swf so strong isnt particularly the communication via 3rd party software (which isnt even guaranteed when playing swf) but the fact that you know that you can rely on your team. You know them and therefore what they are and arent capable of. Bond does by no means provide this.…
-
You completely missed the point. This is not about the perk being particularly good, which I do t even think it is. It's about it's core-design being unhealthy for the game.
-
Then rework the perk to make it generally more viable and healthy overall... I seriously don't get why people defend this awful design.
-
Thx for pointing this out. It doesn't change my argument though. In case survivors bring bond the perk becomes even less useful. Therefore it literally hits those that are the weakest the hardest. Soloq people that don't constantly run bond. Why should we keep knock out as it is, if the perk could be better and…
-
Don't tunnel in the first place???
-
If tunneling hasn't happened, how does this perk effect you in a negative way? I understand, that not all tunneling is intentional and that sometimes obe just find the same survivor by chance. If you don't tunnel, then you shouldn't have a problem with going for many hook stages. Therefore this perk, that allows the…
-
If you feel like survivor is that easy compared to killer, then try soloq for a while. If you come back and still have hope in humanity, then your stronger than a lot of us.
-
Bait?
-
Then rework it to a perk that has a stronger but healthier effect. Why keep something that is unhealthy and not particularly good?
-
The perk isnt particularly strong, so it may swim under the water in regards to stats. Its definitely one of the, if not THE, most unhealthy perk in the game right now. Its should not be changed in numbers. It should be completely reworked.
-
Dont be fooled, Piggy has a pretty high skill ceiling. Its a strategic one though. Memorizing box spawns, invisible ambush hitboxes, moondashing, rng-usage are all things you can master as piggy. I have 2k+ hours on her and am still learning new stuff. Even when facing very strong groups, I never felt powerless as Pig.…
-
A water based map. Im still rooting for Rapture as part of a Bioshock-chapter.
-
Do they "all" go in or just two? I personally really enjoy groups where all four survivors try to "bully" me as killer. I play this game for chases and interaction. Spreading out and doing gens is the least interactive thing to do as a survivor. Same is tunneling as a killer. Most of the time, a whole team going for…
-
That is just wrong. You know it. We know it.
-
A lot of great things have already been said, so I dont want to repeat them. Just something though: A more open minded playerbase. Lets hope 2025 is the year… sigh
-
Amazing! 🤣
