Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Revert Ghostface's screen detection back!

I can't be alone on this, right? A while ago when they added 4% on each side, all it did was make Ghostface more of an inconsistent killer, not a more balanced one. He's still obnoxious to reveal in chase, and he's way too easy to reveal from far away. I know it was more of an issue for console users, but there's gotta be something else that could be done to help in that regard..?

It's just super disappointing to try and play him at higher ranks without slowdown perks and basically end up being more of an M1 killer than Trapper against an even semi-competent squad. I can play pretty okay at Red Ranks without slowdown using Pig, Demogorgon and Legion, but I just can't with Ghostface. His power just feels so lackluster when early on in release it actually felt pretty strong.

I may be remembering wrong but I believe that 4% on each side actually only applied to mid-chase since it'll be harder to keep him centered while both of you are moving?

There's only one change that I will make for consistency:

If he's stalking you, the survivor who's being stalked should always be able to start reveal him regardless of what the background rules say.

Even if he's stalking you through a wall, you are able to reveal him for consistency.

    Concerns:

"Would this punish smart use of his power?"

    The answer is both.

If he stealth his way to a smart stalking position, survivors won't know where to look in order to reveal you.

On the other hand, if the survivors see you go to your cleaver hiding position and you begin to stalk them behind a crack within a wall. You're technically "seen" and you should be punished for not being stealthy with your power.

Of course we can tweak other things to make sure survivors can't just look at a wall to prevent you from stalking there. 😁
