New Killer Idea

I've had this idea for a while now about a new Killer that I could add to the game, if I was on the Dev team. So, I have a new survivor and killer idea each that I'm posting up here. Values on perks aren't final, but the core concept kinda isn't.

Killer: The Enforcer

As the grim streets of London fall silent and dark, lamps light the old streets. Everything is quiet and peaceful. Wander into the wrong part of town, or owe someone a bit of coin, and you'll meet [Killer Name]. A brutal mob enforcer with a blank, determined expression who will get his missing payment or ensure one's silence on a matter. Using a special set of brass knuckles and a hardy set of boots, he is debt collection and messenger both. One foggy night, he was sent out to gather a "refund" from a black market arms dealer who had made a crooked deal with them. Nobody heard from either of them ever again. All that remained was a trashed building on the edge of town, splattered with spots of blood and a few dents in the walls and floor, from some brass knuckles.

Weapon: Brass Knuckles

Size: Large

Terror Radius: 28m

Movement Speed: 4.6m

Power: "Missing Payment", The killer inflicts massive pain upon the survivor to make up for "missing funds" that are "owed" to him. When a survivor is downed, the killer stops onto the survivor's ribcage hurting them severely. They receive the "Broken" status for 90 seconds and grunt in pain periodically. This timer is paused while hooked.

Mori Kill: The Enforcer drops his knee into the back of the survivor's ribcage before bashing them in the head 3 times with his weapon. The third one is raised slightly higher and more powerful. After the third strike, the sound will be a sickening crack as the survivor is killed.

Perks:

Collateral Damage: You have a 25/30/35% chance to break a pallet with a lunge attack while in a chase. Can only activate once per chase.

Dirty Rat: When a survivor is picked up, the auras of other survivors within the killer's terror radius are revealed for 5/7/10 seconds. Dirty Rat cannot be used again until a survivor is hooked.

Send a Message: The killer can break chests and deny the item inside. This is a standard break action. Auras of survivors searching chests are revealed for 2/3/4 seconds.

Edits: Added "terror radius" clause to Dirty Rat, since it was a little too strong. Replaced break timer for Send a Message with aura reveal to have some form of use.

The power is cool, but seems more like a perk than an actual power, and it isn't that good imo.

Collateral Damage is a really good idea, I like it! I see nothing wrong with it.

Dirty Rat is broken. It'd be amazing, too good even. It would render BBQ worthless. Maybe after injuring a Survivor, the auras of others are shown for 1/2/3 second(s)?

Send a Message is gimmicky, and takes too long to be used. Great concept, though!

Yeah, like I said though the values can be tweaked. And I did change Dirty Rat slightly. But yeah, it was meant to replace stuff like BBq and discourage dribbling, since that was big and Decisive Strike was completely different then.

I think Dirty Rat could be an alternative for BBQ (ignoring the bp gain), but it shouldn't be better than BBQ.

How'd you change it then? I added the "Resets on hook" clause so it'd work similar to BBQ, or rather the timing of it anyway. I do see how it'd be better though, say, if someone is next to a hook. I may also need to add a distance component to it too.

Also, how long does it take to open a chest? The main idea behind that one was at level 2, it's the same speed as a survivor opening a chest, with 1 slightly slower and 3 being slightly faster.

I'd probably just make the timer shorter :/

I don't think a single Killer would be willing to spend the same time it takes to open a chest, closing one. That is a complete waste of time.

An easy fix for Dirty Rat: give it killer instinct instead of aura reveal, and make it a TR perk.

That's a really good idea, I never thought of it :D

The power is very weak mate. It doesn't help you in chases and gives you no map pressure. It seems more like an add-on than an ability. I'd say if I want survivors broken I'd play plague since cleansing is really good for me.

Collateral Damage: This is very strong. Couple this with spirit fury and enduring and you'll get rid of pallets way to easily.

Dirty Rat: Think this is also very strong mate. Couple it with Knock Out and a mobility killer and it will destroy a lot of teams. It is just a stronger BBQ in my opinion. The condition helps with balancing the perk but I still think it's just too strong.

Send A Message: This is annoying perk lol but it's ok. I don't see any reason to fun it unless your doing a certain build but that's fine. I'd actually say you should give it a slight buff. Maybe when a survivor searches a chest the killer sees their aura. Also increase chest searching time by 4/6/8 seconds.

I hope this feedback was helpful. I'd say you need to look at changing the ability. Maybe make your current ability his secondary ability, then add something more. Add something that will at least help with chases or gen pressure, maybe even both.

Yeah, Dirty Rat needs some more balancing, like maybe have it "in terror radius". As for his power, I have no clue what to do. Send a Message is also meant to be about simply denying the survivors items outright, rather than making it an inconvenience.

Maybe I could do an Overwatch style power, similar to Doomfist where he had a short burst forward, kinda like a Pig dash, but only in a straight line. If they're hit, they're injured. If they hit a wall or object, they go down. Add-ons would increase knockback range, charge speed, add effects like Broken or Hemmorage. Maybe it should also break pallets instantly, similar to Hillbilly chainsaw..........

I originally wrote this before Plague was introduced, and I was in yellow/green ranks, so yeah. A lot has changed then.

I understand mate. I remember the last chapter I wrote was last January. Since then killers that allow you to teleport to particular locations have been released (freddy and demegorgan) which hampered my ability a bit.

And yea a lot of killers could be made for yellow/green ranks. The problem is at higher ranks they get destroyed. I've been at red ranks since I started playing this game so I have a pretty good idea what will work there.
