    Did they fasten up the animation compared to PTB?

    Because in PTB flashlight saving was definitely possible

    Might be a personal problem though....

    I just streamed for a little over 2 hours today. Every lobby that had even a single flashlight managed to get flashlight saves. I could barely hook people. This was rank 16, I think.

    It takes more skill to use, and if you think about it it’s a DS with MULTIPLE uses. Of course it’s powerful as hell, now you just gotta be on your toes

    It's possible. Pickup animation is 3 seconsd, flashlight blind is 1,3. So start blinding at 1.7 second pickup animation and you get the save. Why ######### about everything? Just adapt.

    Let's clarify that, it's impossible to get a flashlight save on a killer that isn't a potato. You are now required to be inside the killers ass to get into position. That makes looping the immediate area even more of a counter to flashlight saves, plus the standard face the wall. Rank 20 killer who doesn't know how to play the game? Sure, you can probably land flashlight saves. Rank 1 with over 3k hours? Good luck with that now. It was hard to even have the opportunity to flashlight save against a competent killer, now I don't even see it being possible.

    It's amazing how much they want the game to become more and more linear for killers. Less mind games, less skill, just follow the survivor, down them, hook them, and rinse and repeat. Heaven forbid you have to use your brain during and after a chase. I get its a simple and basic game but we need more interactions between the killer and survivor not less in order to keep the game entertaining.

    The clip posted had a survivor already in the general direction the killer picked up, survivor was hid behind a box 3 feet away from the killer, which means they literally did nothing but hug the killers ass the entire chase, just to get an opportunity that most of the time won't present itself against competent killers. Why even bother running a flashlight at that point? Yes, that is bahroo. I know who he is, and he isn't one of the best killers. He wasn't one of the best killers when he played way back when and he still isn't now. Is he an entertaining streamer? Yes. A good guy? Yes.

    I'll keep experimenting with flashlight saves but so far tonight I haven't seen a single one land from me or others. You cannot hug a rank 1 killers ass without getting swatted away, so I kept a reasonable distance. Granted, I don't run SB but that shouldn't be required to be able to get into position either. So far I have tried the standard timing, a bit earlier, and just outright blinding as early as I could the moment I got in front of them, none of them landed. It seems to be an insanely tight timing so far because, again, you have to have time to get into position. No killer will pick someone up with a survivor already standing in front of them with a flashlight.

    Btw, I do play killer and I haven't had a flashlight save occur on me for easily over a year now. Again, it was easily countered before, but now even potato killers can counter them without thinking.

    flashlight saves are still possible but it actually requires some skill and has some chance of failing rather than being a guaranteed save.

    All they did was speed up the pick-up timing a bit so you just need to flash a little earlier than before.

    Also flashlights aren't just for saves as you can use em to blind the killer at a pallet or vault and use it as an opening to lose the killer, done it plenty of times myself and have witnessed many others do it, if your having trouble than maybe you weren't as good at using flashlights as you originally thought you were.
