Disconnections

First of all, idk where to find it but does anyone know the DC Quota? I recall seeing a mod say someone can't get banned for Disconnecting unless the person has gone over their quota. I feel like that number should be less if the quota is in the double digits, even if its 10.

Secondly, why am I bringing this up now? It's been an issue for a long time now and I've always understood that the DC button is there for if there's an irl emergency or something. But who ACTUALLY uses it for that purpose? I just got into a round with someone who DC'd when they got downed at one point (not the first time they got downed though) but I was curious, went to their profile, and they actually had a list of why they DC. The issue I saw was their list was that it basically said to me "I disconnect every round." due to what they had on it. It's people like this that ruin everyone else's fun.

Third, I know one way around this is first hook suicide or force closing the game. But in my opinion these should count as disconnects as well. Why? Well if you ######### 30 seconds - a minute into the match, you're basically saying "I hate this round but don't want to get banned." (I feel like there should be a 2-3 minute timer til first hook suicide no longer counts as a DC)

-And the only thing that should not count towards the quota is when the game crashes or tosses you out because of a "rank update error"

Lastly, my point, I have seen people say this before but your fun is not above everyone else's. When you play the game (ANY game) you automatically agree that crap happens. If you don't have fun, go play another game. I'm not gonna say "Get good or get out" like some... cough BUT I will say either deal with it or get out. It's a multiplayer game, the world doesn't revolve around your giant ego. The world doesn't cater to you, I hate to burst your bubble but you're not playing with AI, you're playing with actual people who just wanna be able to HAVE FUN! Without you screwing them over!

I'm entitled to have fun and you're free to d/c as well

You can have fun but it's a multiplayer game. Your fun means nothing over everyone else's. Don't ruin it for others. Just play the game the way its intended, if you only want farming games, try Farmville.

But I will say it again, when you play a game you agree that all this crap you don't like happens. Whose fault is it that you played a game with bugs or crappy mechanics or toxic players? Yours for not doing your research, you do realize before you buy a game you can look at forums and reviews.

Pretty much all online games suffer from people that like to disconnect frequently. I just try to accept it and move on. Same with Halo back in the day.

Sure, I get annoyed by it, especially if they disconnect immediately after being downed twenty seconds into a match. It's just what it is. I've even done it myself; once because of an emergency and twice due to frustration. I feel bad for doing it, but it's just a game and I try not to let people take away the fun of it just because they aren't having fun. You want to disconnect? Fine. I try to embrace the extra challenge, even if it means that I'm not going to pip, but it sure feels epic when I do still pip after one or two people disconnect.
