Bleedout / Slug Stalemate

The killer can simply slug the second-to-last survivor and use that time to find the last survivor. That's fine; that's normal. There's a bleedout time of 4 minutes to prevent the killer from taking the game hostage. But THEN the killer can pick up the survivor to prevent, or at least delay, the bleedout! This is ridiculous! As a survivor who just wants to get into the next match before the Bloodhunt event ends, this is unbearable and the only thing I can do is wait or quit.

Either shorten the bleedout timer, let the bleedout persist while being carried, let the survivor hold down the sprint button to bleed out faster (faster crawling is optional), or any combination of these.

In the scenario of being slugged there should really be an option to concede defeat and leave the match without DCing, tbh. Easy fix.

I do like the idea of letting the survivor choose to bleedout faster, although if that happens then they should probably not show exact health of said survivor to the killer. Either hide it or show as if they didn't choose to speed it.

The survivor can wiggle on the killer's shoulder to get free.

@TragicSolitude Yes, hence why I said "the killer can ... prevent, or at least delay, the bleedout."

The killer picked me up, I spent time wiggling free while my bleedout timer was paused, I got free, the short stun time is a joke, I'm no longer bleeding out, I was downed soon after, I got 1 second of bleedout time before I was picked up...

Do you see the problem yet? I lose 1 second of bleedout time every 30 seconds (maybe faster if I don't run and hope the killer downs me right away). Now, 4 minutes of bleedout multiplied by 30 seconds for each second of bleedout is... two hours!

They should just develope dumb AI to pilot the husk of my character after I concede out so that the killer can keep playing his stupid pawn games for that precious, precious 4K.

If the killer is constantly downing you then your teammate has time to do generators. It's really just the killers problem at that point.

    @PolarBear

My teammate's crouched in a corner near the hatch.

Being stuck in a match where I know I've already lost, for several minutes more than is necessary, is the KILLER's problem? Good one.

I don't see what the issue is here. Either the Killer spends too much time with the downed Survivor, so the other Survivor can do gens/gates and escape. Or the Killer spends time looking for the other Survivor, and the other Survivor can either heal the downed Survivor or will get caught by the Killer.

The only time we should consider frowning on slugging is if the Killer delays the last Survivor bleed-out timer by continuously picking him up then downing him again, extremely toxic behaviour.

Yeah i can support the option to bleed out faster, i mean you can suicide on a hook, why not on the floor

I have never seen a Killer do this once. What rank are you?

Also, if they're constantly letting you go you should definitely be able to make it to a loop in time.

I agree that the bleedout timer is way too long.

I dont want to spend 4 min on the ground while the p3 Claudette is camping near the hatch.

I dont care if im being slugged for the 4k as long as the killer finds the last person. But bleeding out for ¾ of the timer only for being hooked? I dont mind dying in this game but being forced to lie afk on the ground? Nah thanks. Thats not a fun game experience and it makes me choose Mount Ormond or Haddonfield for my next matches only to punish other people.

I don't think there needs to be a "bleed out faster" option, just a "concede" option. After being in the dying state for a certain amount of time, a survivor should be able to "concede," leaving behind a husk so they can collect their points and move on to a new match. There's no reason to force a player to watch themselves bleed out for four minutes, unable to participate in actual gameplay, if they're willing to admit defeat.

If someone is "Mori canceling" on you, you will still continue to bleed out on the floor. For some reason that (built in game mechanic btw) is bannable... Which doesn't make much sense to me... as people can do exactly this. Wait for you to slowly bleedout on the floor. And to make it worse is if they pick you up, drop and repeat. To extend it just ever so slightly longer. As long as the countdown continues it's not holding the game hostage. It's kind of like how EGC now helps with survivors not holding the game hostage when they wouldn't leave. (Survivors weren't banned for this, pre-EGC.)

It would be nice if they had a surrender option. They said they would be adding husks, why not for this as well.

There's no reason to extend the game further when it's over. Isn't that the reason that the last person alive can't try to escape from the hook, when it is their first hook? It's like "what is the point" ... So, what is the point of this?

I get the problem. I feel that your suggestion would simply end up with everyone using the option every game. Your friend is last person, you bleed out faster. You want to move on, you bleed out faster. In the end it would hurt the killer (not giving them as much time to find the last person) while rewarding the person that is actually taking the game hostage... that Claudette that you mentioned hidden by the hatch.

How about this for an alternative solution... at 95% of the bleed-out timer for the 2nd to last survivor, the hatch moves. That would still allow key escape shenanigans and whatnot but would punish the person that is refusing to play and just hiding by the hatch The "hunt for the hatch" would play out as it used to for that last survivor where the hatch didn't spawn until only 1 survivor left. Just brainstorming.

If the killer is wasting so much time on you and your teammate is still crouched by the Hatch doing nothing that's their own fault.

As stated before they should be doing doing generators or something productive with their time.
