HEX: RUIN IS THE MOST DUMB PERK IN THE GAME
Let’s take a look at all the Killer perks slowing the game down.
POP GOES THE WEASEL
Very powerful one, but in most situations PGTW forces the Killer to run away from the hook, PGTW rewards the Killer for gen pressure and for not camping, it is great perk, let’s move on.
THANATOPHOBIA AND SLOPPY BUTCHER
Also good ones, these perks provide fun strategy– not chasing one survivor and keeping pressure on multiple survivors.
DYING LIGHT
Not strong by itself, but it rewards multiple hooks, which is nice.
SURGE
Perfectly saves tons of time which Killer can use to apply more pressure.
Aaannnddd…
HEX:RUIN
Dumb one, totally rng perk, can be destroyed in the very beginning. And Killer barely need to do something to make this perk useful so he can camp survivors to death. I saw so many Hag, Wraith, etc. players playing like that with Ruin. Annoying as hell from the Survivors perspective, punishes players don’t playing this game so much. Terrible, just terrible and very unhealthy perk.
@Peanits do you have ideas to change this one? Please tell..

Not going to lie, you had me in the first half. Then....

How does any of this correlate? If a killer is camping a survivor to death..... does it not stand to reason that his hex totem is unguarded and ripe for cleansing?
You're right. Ruin is a dumb perk. Nobody. NOBODY likes the RNG-based totem system. But Ruin is used because it's the best we have. On the other perks the raw numbers are either too low (Dying Light, Thanatophobia), require just as much luck (did I down this survivor next to a generator that has more than 5% done or am I going to have to waste time and walk to the complete opposite side of the map to find a generator that may or may not be done by the time I use PGTW?), or are kept back by arbitrary and unnecessary restrictions (cooldown and radius on Surge, cooldown and duration on Thrilling Tremors).
Sloppy Butcher is just OK. It's situational and the amount of time added to healing isn't particularly high. But god forbid you Sloppy Butcher against a good team of survivors who don't heal much anyways and just generator rush instead when they see SB.

Its super overrated.
When Im playing against ruin is just super ez to power through it.

Sometimes it happens and Ruin spawns in so good place that survivors cannot find it and all die vs camper, though I agree, it’s very rare to be common.

I hadnt even noticed that at first... Thats awesome.

Well if I get a ruin killer me and my friends just push through it, we once finished all gens in 5min with ruin. I mean yeah you dont need any effort to get the effect but you have to think that way, killers like hag, myers etc that need a little extra time at the start to prepare there power, this perk is perfect. But I still agree that ruin is waaaay to unconstistent, I never use it, only on the mentioned killers that needs a little bit extra preporation time.

I'm running PGTW on Freddy just fine in Red Ranks.
Buuuut.. that does not mean other killers, especially mid to low tier killers doesn't need it.
Gens go by so so fast in Red Ranks there needs to be stopgap for it. And Ruin is the bandaid for that problem.

This.
Idk. It works for me... yeah sometimes the spawn location of the totem is bad, but when it's good it does the job. I run Whispers too, so I'll occasionally walk by with Whispers to check on it, but generally I feel that people just think the hex is suppose to last all match. lol
Key point is if it doesn't work for you, doesn't mean it's not working for someone else.

”SURGE

Hmm...perfect might be a bit too much.
”And Killer barely need to do something to make this perk useful so he can camp survivors to death.”
If a killer is camping it’s the perfect time to look for ruin, even when a survivor is being chased you have an open window to look for ruin. Also you could always just hit the skill check.
While ruin can either be a game saver or be gone in 10 seconds, it’s the only perk killers with low mobility have to slow the beginning and not have two gens done. Sure there are other slow down perks but either the numbers are too low or there’s too big of a drawback that makes the perk useless.

Somebody who really thinks "Surge" and "Dying Light" are useful slowdown perks...i can't take your opinion serious sorry m8. xD

Guys don't worry. The persons icon is Hex: No One Escapes Death

TTS?

The Third Seal I assume...but besides for slugging it doesn't have much use? Unless said survivor is running an aura reading perk that they're losing due to being blind

Bud, this may seem rude or obvious but, just hit the skill check. Or if your against me you'll just spawn on it?

Ruin is a necessity - a symptom of a larger problem. It's so bad, it's still good.
Yet, the devs don't see a problem that every single person who plays this game does.
And that's why the game doesn't get balanced.
