Did they make the survivor's moaning louder?

Idk why it seems that ever since the latest update, the survivor moaning seem way louder. I notice it both as a killer and as a survivor, so much that I started wasting a perk slot to use iron will... Am I hearing things? Lol is it just me?

It may have something to do with the engine update. A lot of things got updated with them moving over to a new version of Unreal Engine.

Imagine if Jeff and Jane got married. The noise from that honeymoon suite would be deafening.

Fixing issues shouldn't mean increasing the volume, just fixing what caused them not to work properly. I don't think the audio needed to be increased, now it's way too easy for killers to hear them even inside lockers. Before you really had to pay attention to realize someone was hiding, when I played killer today I heard them inside lockers super easy

It be how it do, I agree the sounds are a bit too loud... but I think the intentions was to help with tracking Survivors with sounds... since before they sometimes bugged out.

Of course though, increasing the sound won't really fix the issue (Which is why they fixed the bug in-general.) but I suppose its to help people with... not the greatest hearing.

They volume was increaseds, yes, but the sound occlusion was not touched. Meaning walls and corners of walls specifically still muffle 95% of the sound at times.

Sounds that are tells within the game seem much more obvious now; for example I not once heard the Spirit's feet walking while in phase, until this patch. Now, if she's using Prayer Beads and I'm aware, I can listen out for and hear her footsteps very slightly.

Other noises seem much better too; I wonder if it's a result of the upgraded engine.

I would argue survivor moans seem too loud right now, at times. It's as if I'm running stridor; they sound like they're right next to me but they can be like 2-3 loops away quite often.
