Next Chapter, no new map?
Does this mean the next Chapter will be ANOTHER standalone? -.-

Actually no, the roadmap is wrong.
The youtuber King did an interview with mathieu about a month ago and he asked about the new chapter not having a map. Mathieu responded with "Really? Well the roadmap is always subject to change" its safe to say we will have a new map.

Probably, Hawkins was a completely new map so I doubt there would be another new one. Better chance that they change up an existing map with a new central building like they did with clown and plague.

Let's be honest, do you want a NEW map with the horde of problems every new one brings, or would you rather they go back and fix atrocities like Haddon and Hawkins?

I thought it was supposed to go back and forth with a new map one release and a reworked map the next?

Hawkins is a really good killer map imo. Unless everyone happens to have balanced and knows how to use it on Hawkins properly.

i mean... IF the new Killer actually is "The Alchemist" from the tomes, we probaply wont be getting a realm for him, since he comes from the void as a long lost survivor.
i would love to see some of the unfinished swamp maps to be implemented tbh.
the "Grim Gully" looks really cool with both the Village and the Bloodtree on it, i'd love to see that one.
"Dead Lake" also seems pretty cool, tho i dont think it has any like big standalone buildings (correct me if i'm wrong).
or maybe reduce the Grim Gully map's size a bit and therefore add the Bloodtree aspect of that map to the Dead Lake? would also make for two really nice maps imo.

That's part of the problem that the game has in general.
It's okay unless they do/run 'X' then it's bad and unbalanced.
That is a terrible design to have throughout the entire game. SWF and BL are the 2 biggest examples of this. No map should be considered unbalanced if it's ONE SINGLE PERK that makes it like that. Either the perk needs to be changed or the maps do, and in this case I think aside from a slight nerf to the passive part of BL I think the problem lies mostly in the maps.
This was just shown when the best map pressure killer was knocked down. Her map pressure sucks now so she's like a lot of other killers; the big maps make it impossible to keep control in your court, if it ever was in there in the first place.

Really? I like the wide variety of maps and how it changes game play for either side due to xyz or with perks. Also an unpopular opinion I’m sure.

I agree, the game having multiple ways you play it depending on the scenario is the ideal state. But BL is way better than that, it makes ANY loop with a height drop EXTREMELY stronger than it has any right to be. If it wasn't so good on those kinds of loops we could incorporate it into the map design, but right now that's just not a good idea.

More variations of Lerys plz. Also an asylum variation with an underground catacombs with The nun as killer plz.

do you guys really get excited anymore about a new map/killer? this game needs a different direction. i'm tired of these extra added killers and 'only skin' survivors with their extra perks.
I cant be the only one here. New game mode(s)? real changes i mean. the game is so stale now for long term players

When they get all the killer's /survivor's in the game we and they want then we can talk about new game modes
