Don’t fight against each other based on killer or survivor main

There is such a divide right now between killer and survivor mains. Both sides are at the throats of the others, trying to stay on top. This is not good for the community. Both sides need to band together to fight against the true problem with the game. Toxicity. Everyone just wants to have fun playing the game, but toxic players (both killer and survivor) ruin the game for everyone else. We need to work together to stop toxicity and make the game more fun for everyone, not just some bully fest for one side or the other.

I hope we all can work together to stop the greater problem.

Edit: And don’t bully the devs either, they just want everyone to have fun too.

It's a human problem. Very prone to sticking to an ideology and trying to improve what they perceive as theirs.

I just try and picture myself in the average game and see what is fun for me as both killer and survivor. I don't enjoy the toxic behavior or incredible gen times as killer, and I don't enjoy camp/tunneling while I'm survivor, or how boring a gen is to do and how I have to do it x5.

    This.

But also, a lot of people never stop to realize that this isn't an ideology, it is a video game, a product that you have purchased for entertainment. It isn't a political party or a religion. You don't "belong" to a "group" by declaring yourself a survivor or killer main. These are just game mechanics, and if they didn't work to support each other in a functional way, then the whole system would fall apart.

As said above it's just a human thing. My side good your side bad, and it's a lot easier to discard an opinion you disagree with if you associate the person behind it with the dumb-dumbs on the "other side".

While calling out what seems like bias and then making an actual post where you discuss what was actually said is one thing, worthless "you're wrong because <role> main git gud" posts should honestly be considered shitposting/trolling if you ask me.

Most killer or survivor mains are equally bad for the health of the game. People that play both sides tend to be more reasonable with the balance suggestions as they can see the point of view from both sides.

Once you let people speak freely and give them a voice on the forums you breed toxicity.

I say BHVR slaps red all over the place and slaps us straight!

All hail the Entity, all hail BHVR!

I play both sides in red ranks, so I do my best to remain fair.

Unfortunately, I'm very unhappy right now because the devs went overboard with Nurse's rework. They gave her a cool down, even though Nurse already goes into fatigue. They could have nerfed her base power in a way that does not reduce her aggressiveness as much. Not to mention, as far as I know the devs provided no data indicating that base kit Nurse was a problem. So, I have no idea what they are basing their decision on.

Not only that, but the devs failed to address SWF and map deisgn. I understand that a lot of people were unhappy with Nurse. But a lot of people are also unhappy about the advantage SWF has as well as survivor-sided maps.

Nurse got sweeping changes, but survivors can still team up without a penalty as well as use map offerings to go to unfair maps.

Sadly there will always be a subset of people who get their thrills by being toxic. That's their idea of "fun." Just be glad you're not one of those people.
