The Legion. What is wrong and what could be done? My proposed rework
First of all I am not a native english speaker so if I spell anything wrong or make a couple silly mistakes don't be mad. Second of all from now on I will be refering to The Legion as "he" because I main Frank. And if by any chance one of The Devs is reading this I just want to say that I truly love the esthetics of the killer and you guys did a great job on that. I also understand the changes made to him in 2.7.0. You did what had to be done and now it's time to make The Legion a threatening killer.
So... The Legion. Everyone knows they suck. Their power is very underwhelming right now. In theory it allows The Legion to have good map pressure and game slowdown aswell as having great tracking. But upon playing as him you realize that he is so easy to counter and outrun that he just becomes a punching bag for the survivors.
And that brings us to my proposed changes to The Legion. Theese changes are aimed at improving The Legion's power aswell as encouraging and rewarding doing what Legion does best - stabbing survivors. This rework also includes changes for mending, deep wounds and his add-ons and I feel that it would solve most of his issues and overall make him more interesting and fun to play as and against. Your feedback is appreciated and is very important to me. Thanks for stopping by :)
Savage Tokens (name pending)
Each hit made during a single Frenzy (double stabs included) grants you 1 token up to a maximum of 5 tokens. Each token increases your terror radius in Frenzy by 4 meters and grants you a couple of benifits. You will gain the benifits from Savage Tokens if you cancel Frenzy manually or if you hit a survivor who is afflicted with Deep Wounds. You will lose all tokens once Feral Frenzy ends. If you miss an attack during Frenzy or the power gauge runs out The Legion suffers a 4 second fatifue and loses all the benifits from Savage Tokens.
- 1 Token: Increases The Legion's movement speed in Frenzy from 5.0 m/s to 5.2 m/s. Increses pallet and window vaulting speeds by 15%.
- 2 Tokens: Decreases The Legion's fatigue after Frenzy from 4 to 3 seconds.
- 3 Tokens: Decreases The Legion's fatigue after Frenzy from 3 to 2.5 seconds.
- 4 Tokens: Decreases The Legion's fatigue after Frenzy from 2.5 to 2.0 seconds and each stab applies the hindred status effect for 20 seconds.
- 5 Tokens: Hitting a survivor with Deep Wounds instantly downs them and ends Feral Frenzy with a slow blade wipe and no fatigue.
Deep Wounds
- Mending now takes 12 seconds (was 15 seconds).
- While suffering from deep wound survivors cannot interact with any objects and use items (exeptions being vaulting, dropping pallets, unhooking survivors escaping through a hatch and opening exit gates).
- Mending now has 2 moderatly difficult skillchecks.
- Missing a Deep Wounds skillcheck will remove 50% of the bleedout timer.
Add-dons for Feral Frenzy
Common Add-ons
- Smily Face Pin: Hitting a survivor while in Feral Frenzy applies the Haemorrhage status effect which lasts until the afflicted survivor is fully healed.
- Scratched Ruler: Decreases the time required to refill the power gauge by 3 seconds.
- Mischief List: Increases Feral Frenzy duration by 2 seconds.
- Frendship Bracelet: Hitting a healthy survivor while in Feral Frenzy refills the entire power gauge and does not apply Deap Wounds. Hitting an injured survivor while in Feral Frenzy refills the entire power gauge and triggers killer instinct on nearby healthy survivors. Get 100% more bloodpoints for stabbing and chasing survivors while Feral Frenzy is active. (The Legion currently has no meme addons (if you consider his current purples serious) and I decided to change that and created just a fun meme addon and a "Friendly Legion" build)
Uncommon Add-ons
- Never Sleep Pills: Increases FOV while Feral Frenzy is active by 3 degrees.
- Mural Sketch: Increases Feral Frenzy duration by 3 seconds.
- Julie's Mix Tape: While The Legion is fatigued the screen is no longer darkened.
- Etched Ruler: Decreases the time required to refill the power gauge by 4 seconds.
- Defaced Smily Pin: Hitting a survivor while in Feral Frenzy applies the Blindness status effect which lasts until the afflicted survivor is fully healed.
Rare Add-ons
- The Legion Pin: Hitting a survivor while in Feral Frenzy applies the Mangled status effect which lasts until the afflicted survivor is fully healed.
- Stolen Sketch Book: Increases Feral Frenzy duration by 4 seconds.
- Susie's Mix Tape: While Feral Frenzy is active increases The Legion's FOV by 5 degrees and while The Legion is fatigued the screen is no longer darkened.
- Nasty Blade: Increases the amount of time required for Survivor to complete the Mend action by 3 seconds.
- Joey's Mix Tape: Hitting a Survivor with a basic attack while Feral Frenzy is not active will no longer deplete The Legion's power gauge.
Very Rare Add-ons
- Stab Wounds Study: Adds and additional skillcheck to mending. If a survivor fails a skillcheck while mending their bleedout timer ends and they are instantly downed. Their location is not revealed to The Legion.
- Frank's Mix Tape: Missing an attack in Feral Frenzy no longer ends the power. Decreases Feral Frenzy duration by 2 seconds.
- Filthy Blade: Increases the amount of time required for Survivor to complete the Mend action by 4 seconds.
- Cold Dirt: While survivors are mending they are afflicted with the Oblivious status effect.
Ultra Rare Add-ons.
- Iridescent Button: During Feral Frenzy The Legion's terror radius affects the entire map. The Legion gains 1 Savage Token upon activating Feral Frenzy.
- Fuming Mix Tape: While using Feral Frenzy, the repair progress of generators can be determined by the intensity of their auras. While Feral Frenzy is active the auras of nearby survivors (8 meters) are revealed to The Legion.
