The thing is I don't see anything in the Spirit nerf that makes her unfun.
With the Nurse nerf it's clear - doubling the time she has to wait after each blink is unfun.
But what of the listed Spirit changes makes her unfun to play as?

I'm glad that they didn't touch her base power for the most part, minus the post-phase speed and vault animation.
Overall, I don't think these changes will affect the way I play her - I mostly use grey addons anyway. It will, however, completely affect how I navigate the bloodweb with her - from now on I will be avoiding all purple/pink addons as they're all garbage. A better change would have been to switch rarity for amulet and father's glasses.
As for why this whole debacle is annoying... killer nerfs are always the priority when it comes to balancing. They're more frequent, and often times more severe due to how the devs approach them - holding one hand over their eyes and randomly whacking at them with a machete. Loops really need to be balanced in all levels, not just badham - I know it's coming, but that's going to take years. On top of this, hitboxes have been so terrible since patch 3.0.0, and it's never been acknowledged, which means no changes in sight.

Let's see, your chances for winning "a mindgame" have been gutted, and each time you don't guess correctly you have to play as a 4.4m/s killer with no power for 15 seconds.

I disagree only with amulet nerf. I mean, the slow down part. It gonna give a benefit that has slightly higher value than green add-on, but also a huge downside. It's nurse's purple add-ons all over again, that was considered to be worse than their lower rarity version.

What if you were to nerf the purple one and make them not stack? the green one itself is fine.
Plus another change that would have made more sense than these nerfs could have been to give her some audio queues that she is phasing, like glass shattering or smth, yakuyoke didn't need that big of a nerf and neither did the speed of comming out of phasing.
Can we all when play killer and see a survivor running a specific perk or smth that we don't like as killers just DC? Cause that seems to be the only way to make our voice heard. If the nerfs are that strong let's unite nurses, spirits and legions and just enter in matches just to DC. If crybaby survivors do this we can do that as well. I hate playing survivor just because of the crybaby ######### heads that DC when they see a killer, but if they do that, we can do that as well.

So you're saying it's overkill because they changed like 2 add ons? She hardly got nerfed if you could even go as far as to call it a "nerf". Nurse got nerfed but she is still completely viable at any rank, and they were both in the same position; dominating queue's, to the point where you almost never saw anything but nurse (and then spirit). This just seems like an overreaction on your end, just like everyone did with the Nurse changes. Calm down.

I thought spirit was getting legioned, I dont mind these changes tbh. Other than the amulet, why not just use the talisman and dirty ubaki? Your faster with slightly less time and it's a green.

If these nerfs don't have the desired effect then expect more. The goal is for survivors to stop complaining about facing the Spirit.

The addons are whatever... she can perform well with no addons something that not many characters cannot* do...
The only thing that peeks my interest is how she will feel coming out of phase.... is going to feel like shes hitting a wall...is she going to be able to get the lunge she needs to land hits like before without the reappearance addons... no collision increases the skill cap imo and is going to buff her when the players adjust to her.

4.4 is not powerless. Nurse is powerless during recharge as she can't even catch up to survivors in the open. Spirit during her recharge can still catch up and even if she doesn't get a hit, she situationally can force down a pallet or at least get close enough to get a hit on next phasing. Even if you don't get results, you at least do something meaningful instead of just waiting. That's fine by me.
Also how will Spirit's mindgames get gutted? From what I've read, her mindgame potential will still be intact.

Its more just for me their priorities seem skewed. While it is nice they have slowly been chipping away at overpowered survivor items and getting better at trying to balance overall, the fact is I feel so many killers still languish at the bottom, while only a few rise to the top. They would rather try to bring killers that actually feel like the power role down so the survivors can still be on the top of the heap. There also so many maps that are unbalanced, which is the main problem this game has. They tried to do something with badham, but it only marginally fixed some of the problems that map had, all of the annoying structures and pallets are still there, just rearranged. And there are still plenty of maps out there with exploitable tech and pallets that you just cannot mind game. And then there is the fact that overall survivors just have more viable to useful perks then killers do. I would like to see a complete perk rework on both sides so they perks that very few people use brought up, and the ones that everyone uses brought down just a bit. But it feels like they would rather spend more time trying to monetize the game then take time out to fix the major problems.

4.4 is actually powerless. There's a lot of loops that are infinite against 4.4 MS killers, of course to offset the 4.4 killers have tools to shorten chases, but even a TL jungle gym is hard for a 4.4 killer to deal with.

I actually do see the problem. Its that killer mains don't want to use some skill with killers. Its so easy to win with spirit so with these changes, it will take skill to get a possible 4k.

I'm really confused by the add-on nerfs (minus Prayer Beads).
The Amulet and Phase Activation add-ons seemed fine for their rarity. Hell, I don't think I ever saw anyone complain about them.
I really haven't seen anything to show that reappearance add-ons were actually OP and deserved the nerf. The video Peanits showed had a David running out in the open. Unless he had Dead Hard, DS, or something to give him Endurance, he was #########. He couldn't have reached a pallet or vault before the Spirit would've been able to hit him. The add-ons didn't really do anything super special.

But I was arguing about Spirit, who has enough options to not be powerless despite her basic speed.

Please, Spirit is a strong killer that doesn't need add-ons. I use her only with the brown ones. I would understand on nurse but calling this a nerf it's really a reason to laugh about. Stop being drama queens.

Bumping and Prayer Beads were the only real Nerf here. Vault animation is good too for consistency.
When all is said and done, spirit mains will still stomp lobbies. Nerfs to your mains always suck but let's not pretend this will drop Spirit down a couple of tiers. She's still S tier.

4.4m/s is literally the most powerless thing in the game, no troll, you can literally run in a straight line and run him halfway across the map.
What? you catch up to the survivor then phase and lose all the ground you gain? do you understand what you just typed?
Spirit will go down to be mid-killer if not low-tier, you will barely see her, mark my words, same happend with nurse, same will with spirit as well.
Spirit was fun, it actually required to play different and use your brain, but some people don't have it or don't want to use it, bad for them tho.

If you think the nerfs are extreme and that Spirit is gonna be garbage now then I have some really bad news for you. Just like with the Nurse nerfs these Spirit changes are only gonna affect bad Spirits.
The changes were level headed and correct and its absurd to think these are extreme changes.

Was WGLF giving 50% BP per token really game breaking? Because a perk that has 0 positive impact on a match has already been nerfed twice, and I'm still mad about it

The problem is that she didn't even need to track well because she can just lunge and reach him regardless of him being 5 or so meters away (maybe more at max range).
Imagine if he was at a mind game-able loop on the opposite side to her; with those addons she could have reached the other side and hit him while coming out of phase, in other words she didn't even need to track well.
Watch pain relievers latest video on spirit and you can see an example of her going from one side of the loop to the other. Combine this with the survivor not having a clue where she is and you can't really be confused as to why those add ons were a bit silly (note that this is without even considering collision, 50/50s, stand still mind games etc).
