Does blinding killer with flashlight doesn't drop pickup survivor anymore?

I swear i manage to blind the killer and i also got "Killer Blind" notification but the killer won't drop pickup survivor or didn't even stun at all.

Do i have to timing something like i have to flashlight/blind killer right after they finish pickup animation or something?

inb4 everyone focus on spirit/nurse threads while me always get killed by spirit prayer beads before nerf

    It does still cause them to drop the survivor, but you need to time it so they get blinded after they finish picking up the survivor. If they haven't fully picked them up yet, they don't get stunned.

    @DingDongs It is a very specific timing. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube that can help you out with it. I don't really feel there should be a timing but whatever lol

    There's timing to it so you can blind a killer but he wouldn't drop the survivor if you mess it up. A lot of tutorial out there in Youtube so you can see when you should flash the killer.

    It is the same as a pallet stun. If you drop the pallet too early on the killer while the animation of picking up the survivor is still happening then nothing will happen. You have to time it so the split second the animation is over is when you complete the blind or throw the pallet down

    Ah, I see

    I'm still learning and practicing with a yellow flashlight (especially against hag and spirit) and stuff

    I think i flash the killer early or just my timing was bad
