After thinking about the exclusives.

What BHVR is doing is the best decision. I'm on ps4, it didn't really bother me all that much to not have access to the PC exclusive skins that see on streams but it's going to be fun seeing them here on the console. Now my biggest gripe was for the event skins, mainly the Howling Grounds. No this isn't about the flashlight and pallet save change....... The game was BUSTED! You'd be walking around no killer in sight and chase music would randomly start, the heart beat meant nothing, the killer could have distressing and you just enter the heartbeat and it would sound as if the killer was right on top of you. This patch also started the time frame of when scratch marks were busted for awhile as well, they just were everywhere and couldn't be used for tracking all that much... the most memorable one..... the sounds, killers ended up being deaf to survivors grunts of pain and footsteps for what was about 6 months or longer. This is why I have a gripe for noobies gaining access to these skins. It's a similar type of reason for legacy, noobies didn't play with the game in that sort of condition.

With that said peanits mentioned the team wanting a clean slate in a comment. Giving everyone the exclusive skins is a good gesture for that and since the team isn't doing anymore platform exclusives and players who lost their progress, this is the best decision for them.

They literally just messed up and are punishing exclusive owners for that.

If you want them on console just give them out for console only.

Others getting skins have zero impact on anyone else.

Coming from someone who has a lot of “exclusives,” by the way.

Here at BHVR, we don’t believe in excluding people. We’ve decided to give all cosmetics that were being sold online to you for free due to the fact that codes were being sold for an absurdly high price and affecting our consumers negatively.

No codes were ever distributed for the event cosmetics-that you had to grind away tokens for, during a very limited amount of time you say? Let us just conveniently dodge that question. Legacy you say? Well, hold on there, those are exclusives.

Also, we’d like to inform you that charms will stay exclusives unless you’ve decided to go with the paid version of the archives of course.

One more thing while on the topic of exclusives, we’d like to reward Fog Whisperers with exclusive charms that won’t be available to anyone else.

We hope you enjoy your time here at BHVR Interactive and remember that we don’t exclude people anymore, unless you don’t have money, aren’t a Fog Whisperer, or are a console player. Enjoy your stay!

They never dodged the event exclusives. They've explained many times why those are included. Same with legacy. Charms are a completely different story. They're so tiny they're hardly even noticeable anyway.

That’s what they say, but who’s fault is it that cosmetics were lost, the players? If you call that a “solution” why don’t they just reward every player 100,000,000 bloodpoints since that’s what was earned from about the time of earning cosmetics??

Charms or not, exclusives are exclusives please understand the point.

Yes, overall, this is the best solution. It is not the most optimal solution, this would be to give the Event Cosmetics to the people who lost them, but this will be very time-consuming and since they would be stored at the same spot as they are currently in the Files, people would keep losing their Cosmetics, making it a task which might continue forever.

Regarding the Code-Skins, it was peoples will to pay money for it. And they did not even pay the money to BHVR, they paid it to some Resellers. And removing the potential of earning money with the codes is great.

(Still, some people are trying to get money. e.g. there are more Dweard-Cosmetics on Ebay than before, haha)
