Regarding "no more events" going forward...

Was this statement meant as them saying they wouldn't create new mechanics in events like last years Hallowed Blight (with the flowers to squeeze)? Or just no more events going forward, period?

I miss the way events used to work, but I'd be fine if they just did events like they did this Halloween by putting event tokens on the free rifts. I mean, some event is better than no event imo.

Can someone clarify?

    You will get events, but those are no events anymore.

    You will not play for anything in those events. You get an offering, you gain more BPs because of this Offering. Thats it.

    Stuff will be obtainable via the free Track of the Rift.

    So it'll be literally just like this year's Withering Blight from now on? 😕 That's really disappointing, events in DbD used to have a lot of flavor and I liked earning stuff.

    Better than nothing I guess...

    Unfortunately we'll be getting more "events" like Withering Blight which is ashame. Events will now just feel like battle pass grind simulator and you'll hardly get any Bloodpoints from it. Really saddening :(

    I mean, yeah, better than nothing. And they want to focus more on Balance and Optimization, so hopefully we see something coming from that.

    But other than that, I am also really disappointed. Because those are no Events anymore. This year was really bad when it came to Events, New Years Event had the Lanterns but was flawed with Offerings too rare in the Bloodweb (at first), 3 Years event was only an Offering you can obtain, no Summer Event at all because they wanted to focus on Dedicated Servers (which were not ready for Summer and are still not even close for being ready) and Halloween was again, just an offering.

    If at least the Gens and Hooks would give the Serum...

    Really is saddening. I had a lot of fun looking for the Halloween flowers last year and I played the ######### out of the Lunar event. I just really loved the aspect of playing to earn cosmetics.

    The rift just seems like a cheap cop-out.

    I'm a new player and this halloween event was my first one, I was so excited cause I heard or saw videos of past events I couldn't wait for it. When it finally came I was so disappointed... :/

    Well said. This is exactly their purpose now.

    I kind of feel bad for the event planners. They don't get to come up with cool secondary objectives or quests anymore.
