Progress on PTB
So I've never been all that interested in trying out a PTB before, vaguely am this time. How does progression work in the PTB? Still get points/shards that stay when you go back to live, or if not is there risk of losing your progress altogether when you go back? (I believe that was an issue in early PTBs which is a large reason why I never cared to put much attention in them)...anything else I should know about progress?

The progress when gaining shards/Blood points is the same in the PTB and LIVE... the only difference is that all progress you do in the PTB will not follow you into LIVE.
The PTB also works off of an older save state from LIVE itself... so when you access the PTB, you might notice some things from the past that are not leveled up for example.
You shouldn't be afraid at all about loss of progress in the PTB... because there is no loss of progress when using auric cells/shards/blood-points in the PTB and going back to LIVE without them... it doesn't work that way.
When The Archives PTB was out, you could use any Auric Cells you had + 2k they gave on The Rift in the PTB... once we went back to the LIVE version without The Archives (At the time) we didn't gain any Auric Cells or lost them as well.
basically
Using a BPS/Pudding as a Killer with BBQ in the PTB won't give you anymore blood points than if you did this in LIVE... it's the same exact amount you'd get from say... a 31k perfect game.
And, no Auric Cells/Shards/Blood Points are lost in the PTB if used... nothing transfers from the PTB to the LIVE version.
