How seriously does Behavior take hackusations and how do they investigate claims?
I recently had a Huntress game where this oblivious Adam threw out a hackusation without seeming to understand perk effects or killer fov. I want to send him proof in video, but for some reason I can't find his profile on steam. Will there be an actual investigation, and if so should I be worried of a false positive? I don't have much in the way of evidence (shadowplay of 2 minutes), but it's my first hackusation for this game and I've just started to sink in some real hours into it. I'd be heartbroken if I was banned for a false claim.

You won't be banned if you didn't do anything wrong.
The devs do take reports seriously, but what that means is they won't ban anyone without proper evidence of wrongdoing. In order to successfully report someone for hacking, you need to file both an ingame report and a customer support ticket, which I believe requires visual evidence of the hacks in use.
If he did both of those things and supplied sufficient evidence there likely will be an investigation into your account, but the devs know their own game. If, as you say, you did nothing wrong, and his accusation was based on a misunderstanding of ordinary gameplay, then you have absolutely nothing to worry about š
