From a Vet - Goodbye Dead By Daylight... I was nice while it lasted.
I'm a Vet and deal with some stuff post my service. I use video games to help me get by. I started to play Day By Daylight because of the horror genre and because of killers like Leather-face and Freddy are my favorite.
Sad to say that overtime I found this game to be rage inducing when playing both as killer and survivor because the game is designed to be frustrating. I wish I would of known that before getting into the game and spending maybe over $70 and wasting minutes of my life that I will never get back.
I invested my self in the game for the long run telling my self it would get better. But now I see this was mistake. And with the addition of the challenges I have found out that my patience is tested even more. For my health and my enjoyment of future games from other developers I am leaving this one behind.
Haha the funny thing is that I left the Destiny franchise to get into DBD hoping it would be better. But now I find my self in the same boat. Where I feel like my personal time and investment is not being respected by the developer.
Please don't get me wrong if you love the game then good for you. I hope you continue to love the game. I think this is where I get off and after this post I'm a log out and never coming back to the forums. So if you want to destroy me down below its fine... go at it... go crazy... as it only proves the problems with this game and adds to my resolve.
It's not that I'm bad at the game, it's that now I realize this game is bad for me. Thanks.

No offence and not even sure it you read this buuuuut how could you ever switch from Destiny to DBD thinking it would be better for you? Destiny is a peaceful PVE game for the most part. People spend their time together doing repetitive PVE events except for Gambit.
Dead By Daylight however is purely PVP which is -by definition- stressful as it puts people against other people. In case of Dead By Daylight you're not only going against people but it's also a race against time for both sides, too further increasing stress levels.
Dead By Daylight is obviously not a game for the person who is looking for a peaceful interactive online experience that can be enjoyed after a rough day at work.
Its overall design concept makes it very attractive to play anyways which is why many people end up playing it despite being psychologically unable to take the stress, the rude behaviour of other players etc. so I don't blame you for quitting the game. If there was an offline mode in DBD many people would probably never play online again.

Can't say I blame you. Something about this game just becomes absolutely soul draining after a while. Don't even get me started on the community.

Honestly this game is frustrating at times so I can understand how it can be too much.
I always follow the advise that someone gave me when I first started, which is that no matter what to try to have fun first. If you’re not having fun then yeah switch to a different game.
Hope you can find something that’s out enjoy without too much frustration.

I will point out that you didnt waste $70. If you payed $70 for the game and dlcs and then played the game for one hour then coming to that conclusion would be understandable. But you enjoyed the game to certain extent for years.
So in the end you probably didnt waste even a single dollar. If you find that you are not enjoying the game. Take a break and mahbe come back in x amount of time to check if you still feel the same.
Cheers

“Would you mind taking a brief survey before you go?”
”How likely are you to recommend DBD to your friends?” 0-10
”Please explain why you chose the rating you did”
-Thanks !
