Not sure what history you're referring to since nearly every single killer has been buffed between PTB to live, not nerfed.

I agree. He feels fun, balanced, and so far seems to have reasonable counterplay.
There are several nerfs that could be applied to Oni and I'm 100% positive that he'll be nerfed in one way or another.
