Relies on 1 major thing besides bug and connection fixes.

GAMEPLAY CONTENT!

No I’m not talking about killers or survivors or lack of perks.

I’m talking about the reason you start to feel bored after awhile and perks only lightly change the gameplay.

To the point: I’m not the first to mention this but BHVR you have to add more gameplay content to maps and objectives.

Examples:

Objectives during/ after gens.

  • Breakers( switches) next to each gen the survivors must flip the 1 next to each gen and flip the master breaker switch before the killer resets the gen breaker. Once all 5 breakers are linked the exit doors are powered.
  • (this ties with the idea above) Change the hatch to a mineshaft elevator ( can only hold 1 survivor) I mentioned this before and require 2 gens/ a repair sequence/ to power it up, but survivors need a key to call it back up.
  • Add randomized map elements like maybe the map has a: Extra door or lock on one gate/ random weather( reasonable within the biom)/ Unique generators ( require parts?)/ Doors that need to be opened for survivors access/etc.
  • Capacitors- After completing the gens or during, 2 capacitors will be on the map that need to be repaired with fuses and parts that carry the power to the gates when the gens finish.
  • Create your own as long as it is interesting and fun.

These are some ideas I had in mind.

I just want you to add something to the main gameplay and I don’t care if you need to stop making new maps or just skip a whole chapter or 2 to get this done but the game needs it.

Thanks for reading and for creating this Awesome game we all love BHVR!

If BHVR would finally stop wasting the money earns from DbD for deathgarden (yes, the money you give them is also used to keep this dead game alive lol) and starts hiring these people for

    - Bug fixing

    - Balancing

    - new game modes

then we would be all in a much better position and this game would have a very long future going.

Making survivor a more entertaining role to play for multiple games by adding more objectives could be a good idea, yes. I think that one understated fun aspect of playing survivor is interacting with the killer, though. The killer isn't an objective sure, but playing as them/around them is definitely the highlight of the game, not interacting with objects on the map.

What I would rather see is the buffing of/addition of more perks centered around playing with the killer, like the Pebble perk, or Head On, or Quick and Quiet and Dance with Me. The more that survivors get to interact with the killer and succeed in their endeavors the more fun the game is in my opinion, for them.

Since Totems are already in the game however, I could see killing two birds with one stone using the Totems. People complain about Generators going too fast and about lack of side objectives, but totems are already in the game. Why not make generator skill check success zones smaller depending on how many Totems are on the map? That would make the generator go about as fast for a high ranking player, but even they would make some mistakes giving away their position to the killer if it's too early in the game and not enough Totems have been cleansed.

Even if we get new content, what will keep us from not getting bored?

Well, according to the developers, paid cosmetics fix all problems.

Well for a start you have new mechanics and objectives to work with so the game isn’t going to go stale soon and eventually we will all be bored again, but this is a late warning people are going to leave if the devs can’t implement new, exciting content that isn’t survivors or killer.

People will always be or become bored overtime with the same or similar interactions.

But adding new stuff in will reset boredom for a little and allow more perk flexibility like @Myers_Is_My_Dad suggested.

Which they'll do as they continue with this game, I'm heavily invested into it and been playing for a year and have been following the game since launch, not bored but like the tomes added, new objective.

People could just complain about the new mechanics as well as they do with anything new.
