Is The Oni overperforming?
I want to hear your opinions, guys!
What do you think about him? Does he need some tweaks? Is he top, mid or low tier?
In my opinion he has the potential to be on the bottom of the top tier, behind nurse, spirit, billy and freddy.

Clearly we need to do something about that.

I think hes a killer that can do very well if played properly..so that means people need to tailor their chases to him as he works differently

If were going by ptb i saw a guy play oni and the survivors just ran up to him so hed kill them the problem with testing stuff in the ptb is one side might not be trying (mostly survivors)

As Peanits said it’s too early to tell. A lot of people haven’t really learned what playstyle is effective against him. Imo he seems pretty balanced. It seems like you get the most value out of his power when slugging because his power resets when you pick a survivor up. So it’s probably a good idea to run perks like Unbreakable against him.

No in my opinion he is fine as he is. Only tiny thing is one of his perk blood echo's with tiers levels are the same.

I said that too a few people who wanted additional changes to Spirit, but they didn't seem to care. People like the killer nerfs it seems for easy games.

Unless his ability attack gets tweaked to be less...unwieldy.... I doubt he will ever be above mid tier at best. Some folks can use him VERY well, but a lot of folks, like me, can't land a single damn hit with that stupid club.

I like that his instant-down is a build up power, rather than a base kit. Aesthetic is top notch. Love the mori. Still can't give actual feedback, being a console player.
The only change that I could see would be an AoE slam rather than the instant down, but that'd probably be really hard to code.

His hitbox is broken, Other things need more time to judge.

I think he needs to be nerfed to legion tier so that survivors don't use more than one brain cells to counter him.

When people talk about overperforming does anyone ever wonder who the best players play as? Surely the better players skew the data to show 'overperformance' in some killers rather than another killer who they don't play.

Difference between something that can be learned, and something that will always mess up a lot of folks. There is no way I could ever get used to him as he is now.
I learned Hillbilly, spirit, Nurse before and after, the old and new Freddy, etc..and I know I will probably never get used to the screen flipping out so bad it makes me slightly motion sick.

He has a high skill cap which is nice

He's not viable in Red Ranks for obvious reasons, but he's fun to play around with :)

There goes all those main survivor exhaustion perks. At least until they remove that from the perk so people don't have to adapt to not having them. lol

Well, survivors will have to tailor their play to unique aspects of the killer or be decimated, so I'm not confident he'll survive PTB. Remember, high level survivor play is not the balance consideration here.

Well nemesis is understandable thanks to legion and his ever more useless deep wound..what they should do is like begrimed chains on Billy slow down certain actions till healed , that way he has pressure but doesnt ruin perks and ideas for other killers just because not hitting him with a pallet is apparently too difficult

I'm surprised so many people are sleeping on Oni. With his power and any charge addons, there is basically not a single loop in the game you can use against him other than a god window. Slugging builds make him disgusting. The only downside he has the the weak early game but then he can win the match in 30 seconds.

A perk making a killer playable (again, not good or viable, just playable), is no reason to knee jerk reaction to it. Perks are supposed to make killers stronger. Otherwise no one would use perks.
