Wah, A Mori

I play both sides, I'm just most comfortable behind the wheel of killer. I hit Rank 1 Survivor more frequently, though, despite going almost pure altruism in my builds :P
I'm certainly more skilled than killers who have to rely on NOED, camps, and tunnels. I'd wager a lot of survivor mains could outplay, as killer, a lot of killer mains that allow themselves to plateau in terms of ability, and I'd wager people who swap sides more frequently would consistently do well as either if they strive to improve their play rather than relying on 'safe' but ultimately detrimental tactics.

Seems good, but what if they dc, because they don't like something balanced?

I don't care if I get moried. Hell, I usually get a few bucks worth of "RIP" cheers in chat when a mori comes down on my head. I prefer the killers who wait until I'm on my third hook before deploying the mori, of course.
Actually, one of my favourite moments from this game was getting moried by a tombstone piece Myers within the first few minutes of the match. I did it to myself, TBH. I was cleansing Ruin, I knew he was in T2 EW, and I saw him stalking toward me. I decided to keep cleansing and just take the hook "for the team". I got rid of Ruin, but exited the match seconds later. I stayed around to the end to GG that killer.

Crazy concept: the reason people DC is usually because they're being little bitches

Mori's just like Keys are extremely strong and give that side an extreme advantage.. they can totally change how the game is going...
Game to hard for killer? Mori someone and it's a 3v1 which is way easier.
Killer has a perfect 3 gen? Key let's 3 escape...
Both of these prolly need looked at in the future.

I agree that there are some things that killer mains do rely on in order to hit certain ranks and kill quotas and I like to stay away from that style of play. That being said, there is nothing wrong with using one of my 9 ebony mori's that I've accrues because that's just how my bloodweb played out. I'm not 'relying' on the mori or using it to have a lazy game, I'm using it because I've got it.
Personally though I don't think you can truly understand this game unless you play both sides at least a few times. I always urge my friends who are new to dbd to at least play a game or two as killer. Yeah, you're gonna get stomped most likely but it gives you a better understanding of how the killer operates so you can play a better survivor and vice versa.

If you're not relying on your mori, my derision doesn't apply to you. I'm pretty explicitly salty at one subgroup of stagnant players who promote and justify their toxic behaviour :P
Though to be clear, high ranked killers have an easier time pipping when they don't camp, tunnel, or mori because of how the emblem system works - it's one of the major outcries from low-rank killers when they start to realize that but don't realize that means they have to change.
Absolutely agreed on people needing to play both sides in order to optimize their performance. I also run KYF lobbies where I teach lil survivors how to loop, from either side.

I think both of the people in that string of messages gave me cancer

I disagree with you on the securing kills part because most killers use moris to do just that. Most people use moris to have easy matches, not because of the cool animation or anything.

To be honest, the devs should make it to where if a killer has a mori, it wouldn't show up in the offerings and make it to where lockers can't be used if the killer has a mori, same with Myer's tombstone. If Myers has a tombstone, you can't use lockers.

Can I sympathize for survivors who DC against a Ebony Mori? Yes.
Does an Ebony Mori justify a DC? Absolutely not.

Gotta love them DC's becuase Mori was burned.
"nice change in pace" do you mean "circumventing the entire point of playing the game and completely killing any survivor momentum, leading to a way less enjoyable game for them"
I love this one. I had some games when I played one of the weaker killers and I didn't kill their momentum because of lack of mori burned.
Game ended after less then 5 minutes, all of them had toolboxes and just rushed gens. Fun game.

The funny thing is when you as killer add the Shroud of Separation. I sometimes do it for giggles and to provoke a DC. It works a lot of times and it's usually red ranks who DC

Shroud of Separation is the worst item you can bring as a killer. It separates survivors, encouraging them to do gens on their own. This leads to more efficient gen progress.

You do know it's a seret offering and that makes a lot of survivors think you have a mori. Hence me saying provoking a DC ;)
1 -
Yeah, I know. I'm just saying if they don't DC you're likely doing yourself a disservice

the thing no one likes is killers instantly tunnelling for the mori

I don't have a problem with moris I do get mad when I get killed by them but I'm not going to rage quit or yell at the opponent for using them unless I get tunneled.

And that's why I bring a Shroud of Separation
