Devs, can you please remove SC from the game?
It does more harm than good.
As a solo survivor, i'm tired of seeing my teammates healing in a corner while someone else is being chased (i always run Kindred, so they know), especially against 1 shot killers. I can't count the times we've lost because there was one or more self caring on the opposite side of the map.
One would expect to see that kind of behaviour around green/yellow ranks, but that happens even in the red ranks. So please, I BEG YOU, get rid of that perk :(

the only time I really use it for memes with botany knowledge

It kind of irks me when I see everyone abbreviating all the perks. I had to think what "SC" was, lol. "SB", "UtA", "DH", "SF", "FD", amongst others I've seen. Name the ones I've listed without cheated.
And no, self-care stays.

Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Spirit Fury, and I don't know the others. I have no idea what UtA could be, lol.
As for the OP's suggestion, I really think if Self Care is going to exist, it needs to be 67% healing speed instead of 50%. Sloppy Butcher basically puts a nail in the coffin on the perk, especially when combined with Thanataphobia. With Botany Knowledge Self Care would be 100% speed which would make it fine, imo. Med Kits are already designed to increase the healing speed further than 100% one time. Self Care being at 100% speed combined with Botany Knowledge would be fine, as you're giving up 2 perk slots for it.

I thought it was Spine Chill initially.
Sprint Burst, Up the Ante, Dead Hard (or Devour Hope which is technically H:DH), Spirit Fury and Franky D's.

Up the ante is a perk, riiiight. Can't recall the last time I saw someone bring it, completely forgot it existed lol

"Perk" is a vast overstatement of its value.
3 -
No, as a solo survivor i depend on it when playing with potatoes :)
2 -
Yeah 2 perks with one of them having to reach fill power by survivor stupidity to counrtr selfcare, which would be countered by normal healing.
Thats neither SC or killers problem.

Remember when Self Care used to be a must have perk?

Since the healing adjustment (SC was untouched, not nerfed), perks that arent scaling with healing time simply became more popular.
Those instant heals or delayed-healing-buff allow you to do other stuff while getting healed and ignore all healingspeed penalties or boosts.

I want a survivor perk that makes the healing longer. Then I will use SC and just go to the corner to heal. Optimal time should be the lenght of the whole match

No, I like Self Care. I usually equip on days where I can hit great skill checks. Its like a free Botany Knowledge, if you are precise.

Self Care can be decent if you run a quick heal build. Self Care, Botany Knowledge, Resilience, Spine Chill + Medkit. Not only do you get quick heals but you get quicker vaults (Resilience+Spine Chill) and killer-tracking (Spine Chill) as well.

Self Care users are DISGOSTANG!

SC is best killer perk.

Self care is

For like 5 minutes I thought this was about Spine chill.
Self care could probably stand a small buff to make it viable, but don’t delete it.

It's too early.... I thought you were talking about me lol

I can't see them removing the most used survivor perk in the game just to appease you.
1 -
That's being a little generous. Pretty sure adrenaline, decisive, and maybe even dead hard are more used

I don't even have it unlocked. Most used perk for me is probably Bond, for teh wall hakz

Eyyy, wanna dig up my past remarks... https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/102923/lets-make-one-thing-clear#latest
Tada, yeah, others agree because of the lack of knowledge in using the perk

No. The problem isn't self care. The problem is people who don't know when to use it.

No thanks, i'd like to keep my "You don't need others or an Item to heal yourself" Perk.

Sure. Are you going to tell them that they don't?

Hey, you're the one saying that they shouldn't be allowed to use it.

Like i said, i prefer to keep my "You don't need others or an Item" Perk.

I agree. Self care is useless and wastes everyone’s time. You want to heal? Bring a medkit with charges. Hell I run Iron Will now because I got tired of healing myself constantly with the amount of Thana, Sloppy, Dying Light, and Legion’s I’ve run into

Yes, but you didn't only say that, and i responded to the other things you said.

They did some stats earlier this year on the perks used most by both survivor and killer. Self care was top of the list for survivor, and hex ruin for killer.

They're not the ones saying "They're not using X perk the way I want them to, so take it away from them!"

You having an explanation as to why does not change the fact that you want it removed for entirely selfish reasons.
I don't want Survivors using Self-Care because it slows us down, but they have every right to, and you not liking how they play does not mean they should have that taken away.

There is no contradiction. Me not wanting them to use it does not mean that I believe it should be taken away from them.

It was actually part of my original build. My first main was Claudette. I just used her three perks with We'll Make It. Botany made Self Care much more manageable. It also made healing others a breeze. Empathy was great for keeping an eye on your team. And We'll Make It combined with Botany gave you stupid fast heals. I kinda miss that build.
