Wes Craven Estate Is Listening To Pitches---More Cosmetics?
So Wes Craven's family owns the rights to Nightmare on Elm Street and they are now listening to pitches on the property, this is a great time for BHVR to approach them for a New Nightmare outfit, you know the one where he's wearing that sweet blue coat and green hat?
I know one of the Devs said that Freddy is difficult to make cosmetics for but I call BS, we just got a damn Oni and that's super creative, look at Yui's cosmetics, the design team is sick. It shouldn't be that hard to just think of something scary for him to wear and if they really need certain outfits from the films then we got Chef Freddy from Nightmare 5, we got sunglasses Freddy, New Nightmare, we got the Power Glove from N6 etc.
I know the Freddy we have is from the remake but I'm under the assumption that the rights for NOE period is held by the estate and the International rights are held by a studio. Even if this Freddy can only get outfits based off the remake it still shouldn't be a problem as the films don't own certain looks, they just own the characters and the character is the same dude.
Hell, who wouldn't want to see Skeleton Freddy from Nightmare 3?

You misunderstood what they meant by "difficult to make cosmetics for". BHVR was given permission to use (new) Freddy's likeness by the licence owners. Not to change the appearance of their IP on a whim. Any cosmetics we are to get for Freddy would have to have the approval of the property owners.

Thats what OP is referring to though. OP is saying the license holders are being very open right now, so now would be a good time to pitch them ideas for cosmetics so they can approve them.

The Nightmare on elm street that dbd got is from platinum dunes I believe and the rest are from New Line. I doubt we'll see any freddy cosmetics because of this

Also, if Quentin ever gets a Christmas sweater... just give him Freddy's. But yeah, I hope the negotiations go well for stuff like this.

Platnum dunes mightve co-produced that movie alongside New Line Cinema, but the rights holders would still be the ones that BHVR would have to talk to, which is Wes Craven's estate.
