I see a lot of console players get this wrong.
After waiting in a queue and match starts but it's canceled, it's not always the killer disconnecting, in fact it could that a survivor didn't connect to the game or their wifi failed when loading.
Something that show's this is when a game starts and the player's at the bottom left are 3 and not 4 survivor's, it tells you that whatever survivor isn't in that group of 4, had their wifi disconnected from the match.
The cause of this happening is that before hand the game would still start but with I think 1 less generator, maybe 5 still but the match wasn't balanced so they decided to just stop the game in general.

actually you can tell if it was you that you disconnected or the killinr that disconnected for console if the killer disconnected it will say escaped and go to the end where you get all of your blood points and stuff like that if it's you that disconnected it'll go to killer / survivor select screen.
