How do flashlight works

I barely use flashlights and it seems like every flashlight is different (yellow,green,purple)

If you use your flashlight you get this focus thing the flashlight beam goes smaller and if that happens you flashed the killer.

The thing is if i use the purple flashlight getting the focus isnt hard but if i use a green or yellow flashlight its very hard.

Do you need to aim lower then with the purple flashlight? Or how exactly does it work with the green and yellow flashlight?

I need to do a challenge and i dont have a purple flashlight so i need to do it with a yellow or green one do you have any advice for me?

    You have it backwards actually, it should be easier to blind the Killer with a green flashlight, while the purple one being harder to pull off. Its good you actually can consistently blind Killers with the purple one, but the green one should be far easier.

    You blind Killers like you normally would, by aiming for their face and eyes (or for some Killers like Demogorgon, you aim for where their eyes should be.)

    Anyways, perhaps you're getting blinds off with the purple flashlight because of how you specifically aim. Maybe you're aiming a bit towards the neck or body, and that registers the blind due to the purple flashlight being inaccurate by a bit.

    With the green, you need to aim for their face and eyes. Same with the yellow, Yellow flashlights just have less battery and no accuracy buffs/debuffs.
