so why can you hit over the haddonfield fences..?
to me its super whack how killers can hit over the fences. and inb4 "haddonfield is op hurhurhurhur"

Last time I checked, you couldn't.
But if that's been changed, it's probably for the same reason that killers can hit through windows - because there's no logical or gameplay-related reason why they shouldn't be able to.

Ok, here's an experiment.
Go get a sibling, or a friend, or a parent if needs be. Give them a baseball bat.
Now stand directly on the other side of a waist-high fence, and tell them to try to smack you in the head with a baseball bat.
Then, explain to them how that's "super whack."

You can't hit over the fences in Haddonfield as far as I know. Me and a friend tested it in KYF a while ago. I hope you can now. I never understood why you couldn't. Also The fences on Thompson can be hit through? That's news to me.

The small fences on Haddonfield? Yes, of course. Why wouldn't you be able to?
I think this is the first time I've ever seen a Survivor player complain about Haddonfield!

Being hit over the fense is because ur so close. I think I've only ever had it done once so I can't remember if it's a bug or not.

Yes, although the last time I tried it there was an invisible wall in the way. It's possible that it's doable on some fences but not others.

I did it a few days ago as Wraith so it definitely works.

Yes, you can hit over the fence on Haddonfield. The survivor needs to be near the fence for you to hit them. It's been this way since the map's release.

I had a guy DC after I downed him over the fence. Sorry you have to keep a safe distance over these outrageously long and safe fences.

If you are super close to the fence then killer can hit you, it's been like that since I don't even remember

I did see a Wraith do it today, but I was on the wall so it missed. Thats the first time someones tried it in months against me. So I cant really confirm or deny it.
I wouldn't try it simply because of the ground lost you may as well find someone else.

Because they have arms? It's the exact same as windows, just don't hug the fence if they're on the other side.

Because it’s waist height. It’s like a window, if you’re dumb enough to be close enough to it then it is your fault you got hit. Don’t hug the fences.
The fences are already super strong. You as a survivor have the advantage. All you have to do is not hug the fence when the killer is right on the the side.

I dont really care about this but hitboxes in general are just ######### whacky especially since survivor hitboxes on a pallet are literally the size of the pallet itself.

Basically the same reason why killers can through windows — they have arms and if you get too close, you will eat a hit because they can reach you. 😁

The killer is 6 - 7ft tall
The fence is about half the killers size
