What’s with the beacon of light on Shelter Woods
Just playing a normal game and then suddenly on Shelter woods there is this beacon of light in the middle of nowhere next to a wall also making this sound of something like paradise or freedom from an organ (instrument). Maybe a bug or something intentional like a way to escape the Entity’s world or it’s just a false escape.
Honestly Idk, anyone else encountered this? Found this on PS4 btw

Map add on sets a yellow beacon

Umm maybe someone marked it with a map?

Someone had a map addon which can put a beam of light down at the location they're at when they do it.

Aliens.

Literally a add on?
through out the entire time I played and followed DBD this is literally the first time I have ever seen anyone use this at all. Even all the vids I watched I haven’t seen anyone used it. Wow didn’t see that coming at all

Very few people do use it, because very few people even use maps. It's called the glass bead, I believe, and it's quite rare to come across in games despite being only uncommon rarity on the bloodweb.

I just went ahead and checked it out myself. It’s understandable why barley anyone uses it, not too useful on indoor maps and I’m not sure if the killer can see it but it would explain how the killer kept on finding us that easily costing two survivors.
Thanks for the clarification
That or there is Aliens lol

Only other survivors can see this light.

It’s one of my favorite add ons in the game.
I can easily communicate to other survivors when I’m working on a gen or to notify about a hex totem when the killer already found me.

If you angled this right, it could have come from the moon.

So basically, you are being abducted by aliens and if you stand in that light you will get a teaser for the new alien dlc, it's really cool actually. I don't need know why all these people are being misinformative about what it is, very sad to see.

It's not visible to the killer. Personally, I'm a huge fan of it because it helps a lot with advertising the location of things like the hatch and hex totems. You're right though, it's practically useless on indoor maps, but as far as I'm concerned that's the only downside. Plus, it's not a one-time use - you can replace it in different parts of the map as many times as you like.

I can't tell you how many times I've laid these around and nobody ever sees it. I used to use it alot but now I just use it for when I'm playing with my friends.

Yeah, I agree. It would probably be used more often if it were more useful, and it would be more useful if more people knew what it was, and more people would know what it is if it were used more often!

it's an upcoming black hole

I use it to mark open or nearly open exit gates, hex totems and gens I'm working on.

I love stuff like this, people not knowing about the small things.

I just spam them on gens so people can't see
