BHVR, can you guys please improve Doctor's shock stun?
As of right now, Doctor's shock stun isn't working properly. Sometimes it'll register and sometimes it won't. This can be pretty impactful as you'll shock a Survivor when they're at a pallet or window and the game decides to take 30 decades to register that there was a stun, which means that the Survivor is able to continue the loop without getting hit. I had a game today with Doctor where I know I shocked the Survivors in time, but because the stun decided to not register properly, I couldn't do a single thing as the Survivor was still able to drop the pallet and deny me my rightful hit. Multiple chases that should've ended very quickly didn't because of this bullshit. This has been going on since at least patch 2.5.0 (maybe even before that and I just don't remember or it wasn't as bad) and I'm tired of it happening. If ensuring that Doctor's shock stun is consistent and activates on time isn't a part of his upcoming changes, could you guys please add that in there somewhere? It really sucks being robbed of hits that should've been 100% guaranteed all because a stun didn't activate when it was supposed to.

1) Shocks stopping you from vaulting is dumb. It is entirely based on connection and causes a lot of rubber banding. It shouldn't be in the game for that reason alone.
2) Doc is getting an update soon, so I doubt they will do anything about this until that happens. Probably mid-chapter.

What\??? where did you hear he is getting an update soon? Why would they nerf him? Omg.

They have said that he was on the list for changes... that doesn't mean nerfs.. I mean he's already pretty low in the meta.

I'm having lots of fun playing him, one of my favorite killers to play as. I just hope they don't ruin him or take a crap on him.
1 -
Legion was on the list too, look what they did to them...
But seriously, they said that Doctor's power will be getting some tweaking, that probably means buffs, but it's BHVR so I'm not sure.

Doc is next on the line to get an update. If he gets to keep his power this'll probably be fixed.
1 -
No we need to release cosmetics and nerf viable killers. Ans legion tho.

Doc is the next one to get an 'update', they say its a decent shake up to his ability so any changes aren't likely to happen until the update is ready. Since they like to update killers that share the same abilities, Nurse's blink shares the same properties as Demogorgon's shred, so that's why they came out close together. The Oni also has two states like the doctor, that's probably why they're going with him next because they're powers are similar in the coding.

They said it like 5 times across several streams now that Doc is next on the list after Nurse. Only reason Spirit got pushed forward was because of people making a big stink about her, and Legion has very minor changes coming.

They'll probably attempt to make him better but actually make him worse through either an unnecessary compensation nerf or something that they break and then never fix.

OP wasn't having Doc problems, he was getting "Dead-icated server'd"

Not broke working as intended.

Doc won't be getting an update until this time next year. So not soon.
Also, if Doc didn't have that delay, he would be 100x worse than the Clown in ranking. But i can still beat Doc easier than Clown because Doc's shock doesn't Slow you down. Just stops you from vaulting or dropping a pallet for a whole 2 seconds.
If you get shocked in real life, its disorienting.
If anything, Doc needs a Buff because he's one of the easiest killers to rush. SWFs murder him.

You seem to miss the part where I say the problem is how this effect is handled in combination with latency. Effects that have a high probability to cause rubber banding or other such things don't belong in the any game.
Case and point, the original Ink grenade in Gears of War 3 would stun lock you in place if it landed near you. If you jump at the right time you can avoid this. The problem was, due to latency, you could be mid-jump and then you animation resets to a stun lock. And for the record, stun lock in Gears = death. It was something they had in Gears 1 (frags) and Gears 2 (smokes), that eventually they realized was just bad for the game, so the Ink stun was removed from Gears 3 and overnight the weapon went from absurdly broken to below average (which I wish they buffed some parts of it to compensate, but I digress).
Has nothing to do with how strong the character is, and everything to do with quality of the experience. I've said this a MILLION times at this point; I'm fine with Doc buffs to make him a better killer if they remove the vault/pallet drop cancel of his shocks.

I’m playing on PS4, so I’m not on dedicated servers (unless BHVR enabled them on consoles and I just didn’t know). I’ve heard that it’s worse with them active though.
I thought the rubber banding thing for Doc’s shock was mostly gone. I’ve had it happen to me maybe once and I haven’t seen any complaints on the internet in months.
So what you’re saying is that the devs just threw on the shock stun and didn’t care if it worked properly? Am I reading your post correctly? If so, then that doesn’t sound right. Why would BHVR just throw something on as a bonus without caring if it worked or not?
That’s all? Interesting argument then.

The shock stun is fine, even probably at bit too long as it is. Just time it better.

And 99% of the issues youre complaints are on have everything to do with bad servers. Depends on where the survivor and you are playing from. Pre-Dedicated servers, Doctor worked perfectly as intended.

Uhhh no he definitely doesn't. I consistently get at least 1 rubber band through a vault whenever I face a Doctor. I'm on Xbox, we have no dedi's yet. I've heard/seen the things that happen on dedi's and I don't expect it to be fixed.
The fact remains it can still happen enough to be a problem.
Furthermore the latency can screw over the killer too. The Doc may see you get shocked and not vault, but due to latency you rubber band across the vault on their screen. The problems exist on both sides. There is 0 reason for him to be allowed to do this.

I’m on PS4 and I’ve gotten maybe one rubber band incident when the Killer is Doctor. There might be some other problem like the connection or the Xbox just has a harder time with DbD than PS4.

Maybe but it doesn't change the fact the a mechanic so incredibly influence by latency should exist in the game at all.
Like I said above and a million and one times at this point, I'm fine with buffing Doc. He just shouldn't be able to stop vaults/pallets drops (more so vaults because it's very binary, you are on this side or that side, with pallets if you drop the pallet on your screen it's dropped, it doesn't reset to an undropped position).
