Aftercare Rant

I run aftercare due to being very altruistic it also let's me see where the killer is if he is on someone. But rant part, so my biggest peve is when people can see my aura and being chased leading them right to me just to get the killer off of them.

Just use empathy. May not see killer but you will know when someone is injured and can guess if they are being chased.

That's the risk of playing with others.

Oh I thought it was going to be about how the aura reading resets...nvm

If the survivor is not on death hook and still comes to the After carer to wipe off the killer, then you could call it a dick move of course. But resetting aura reading to prevent a death hook would be a fair trade I think

I'm not sure anyone has the mentality "I'm dead on hook, none of my teammates are. I need their help. But I don't want to be mean and bring the killer to them. I'll just run away from all of them so it's harder for them to help me."

Until red survivor ranks, you generally won't see any survivors run towards a teammate in a chase just to bodyblock/take a hit for them because they know they are dead on hook.

The problem is a lot of the time I'm dead on hook not them.

I actually did this once, but it was because I was getting chased by the Killer for most of the game and the Aftercare user was a Claudette who was searching chests and hanging out in the basement while I was getting chased.

I'm not accusing OP of doing this, but you definitely shouldn't run aftercare if you're gonna be a useless teammate.

Nah fam you're odds of survival are higher if the killer switches targets. So he wasn't being a Dick he's just been in enough matches to see the way of things. Also it's a two way street with aftercare if you can't handle the heat switch to bond or empathy.

I've had similar experiences but I don't mind teammates using my aftercare to give me the agro, unless it's when I'm almost finished with a gen and the killer ends up using overcharge or pop on it.
