Like his power is useless. I’m on PS4 and it’s nothing like the streams I saw of ohtofu or monto playing. He feels like a clumsy killer

Still reinstalling DBD since the game is cool that I have to do that with every update so what happened to the killer? Thought he was top 5 apparently and couldn't be countered in a chase.

How the hell are you supposed to use his stupid bat when it takes forever to strike. All a survivor has to do so is move to the side

It's doable, I did it. (But they did reduce his control at the end of his charge)

He's apparently a lot worse on console due to not being able to aim the flick very well, that's probably your issue.

It took me a couple games to figure out, so if you use his power and just tap the button it'll do a normal m1 attack, you need to charge it up for a fraction of a second like a lunge. If you charge it too much, dude starts raising his club in the air and looking at the ceiling. It's completely counterintuitive, every other killer you.lunge you just hold it down, try that on him and he becomes Bam Bam from the Flintstones.

Yeah, he feels terrible on console.
I am glad I didn't buy him and tested him out with a friend first. He is just awful.

His abilities are good. There's a big difference between the killer being bad and YOU being bad!

His console controls are terrible as you literally get MAYBE 10 degrees of turn exiting out of his charge so u less you are coming at them head on with no obstacles in the way good luck hitting them.

He seems like a worse billy to me. Stomps bad survivors, but good survivors are going to make you fight for every single M1.

You have to use both analog sticks a lot unlike with most killers so it makes him a little hard for people.

He's probably gonna get nerfed. As they said one of the issues with him - "The Oni can rotate faster than intended with the keyboard or joystick during Demon Dash. "

Minor point, you have to keep in mind those players and other streamers play the game professionally for a living. Their results are often not typical

He is, he's absolutely trash in his current state on console. His club doesn't turn worth a crap

It's really really hard to hit anyone with that club, I've honestly given up on trying to I just M1 them or do a quick hit with it but I never lunge or charge or any of that it just doesn't work

This killer feels like they have no counterplay unless I can find a sharp corner to turn and even then I think I just got lucky the two times it worked.

Let's not forget that hooking just became impossible unless you're right there, boil over, flip flop, unbreakable and breakout (if everyone has it) good luck walking to them hooks, survivors again got an ultra boost, all of yui abilities are good, reset pallets, great I can't mind game with pallets as a killer anymore, they got tons of pallets now unless I waste time breaking it, quicker wiggle time for anyone 6 meters of you, great, 80% of the time to move not to mention the above perks I said which will give a head start and make movement harder for killers, does the devs even think? ######### this, the game as a survivor just went from easy to lol immortal locations yeah ok, agitation and iron grasp, cool, so killers perks must be iron grasp, ruin, agitation/mad grit and dying light/thanatophobia, which survivors already know how to deal with and now is at a stupid level, oh can't wait to see this abused, I don't even know why I'm even on this game anymore, survivors been getting boring cause it's too easy and made EVEN EASIER and killers aren't fun cause you have 0 chance now at high ranks, and all the high ranks gonna try to mix in low ranks so they get games, the Devs pulled a YouTube quicker than YouTube has (console so seen these in action properly today) and is going to die, I'll give a few more tries see if I can come up with a counter but now the only viable killer is forever Freddy and survivors looking to nerf that, which Devs will cause they lack the capacity to see what is going on, Jesus Christ, yes I am upset, I loved this game, it was incredible, but the more crybaby survivors that was added, the worse it got as a killer so I tried survivor, saw no issues that these survivor mains kept crying over, the truth is "I can't bully them into submission, nerf" Devs, do the damn opposite, buff every damn killer, make the game tense, every game as a survivor is 0 pressure and I can now play a game without trying and as a killer it's pressure throughout, why? That shouldn't ever be the case, it should be the opposite, but if no one can get this new survivor buff countered, then for me and probably so many other players R.I.P DBD began good (minus no EGC) and died a pile of dog #########

I take it you have played as survivor and not killer, try playing as him for a bit. It's not as easy to do as you think; he controls like @$$

I've seen the new perk stop one hook so far today, and that was from myself. I don't even think other Yui players are running it. Don't worry, it's still easy enough to hook people and nobody runs four anti-hook perks in favor of auras, exhaustion, looting, etc.

you dont have to hold the bat thing in the air for years to get the insta down, you can tap and hold for half a second and still get the insta down
also, you can demon dash and insta down at the same time

Funny thing is I played one game as him and 4k. Granted I had 1 perks and got gen rushed but started capitalizing on mistakes the were making so it wasn't a blow out but first game not knowing how he works game play wise I felt it was off. I'm not enjoying how long his power lasts since he can just sprint forever and then immediately 1hit me. Not to mention he turns corners almost like a maniac. On PC of course. Console players will have a better experience once they add the sensitivity options they wanna add. Also when they fix that terrible fps right now.

It doesn't exactly help, that even at level 40 I still have gotten NO useful perks from the bloodweb, and I keep getting red rank SWF groups with ######### flashlights.

I'm really glad I'm not the only one that feels this way about him on console. I definitely know I'm not great at the game but I've only been playing for a couple months and I've made it to purple ranks with multiple killers. He feels incredibly sluggish with no mind game ability. Hopefully we can get some control sensitivity upgrade really soon and that might change things because I really love his design. He sounded like he was going to be so much fun during the ptb and I'm really pissed they took the flick away. But I'm not ready to write him off yet so I'll continue to slog through and try to get better with him. It doesn't help that I kept getting matched up with red ranks on terrible maps either I guess.

Yes. Oni is trash. Im a killer 99.9% of the time, on PS4 and I feel like its the biggest waste of $8 Ive ever spent in my life. What is he good at? Nothing. Pure garbage. Last good killer was ghostface and they destroyed him with nerfs because of forum crybabies. I want my $8 Back.

I'm not a pro, but I play at the lower red ranks for killer, and almost every game today has been me getting constantly 360'd while using my power, and losing all four survivors unless I camp. I have went from rank 4 to one pip away from losing rank 6 today. It's been very painful. They either need to give us the option to boost our sensitivity or give him his flick back so we can actually hit survivors.

Yeah man, 10 minutes is definitely too much in my opinion. By the time the hammer touches the ground, the survivors already opened the Exit Gates and left. 😕

Oni is garbage. Pure trash. What does he do good? Nothing, except take your $8. Im on ps4 and its easily the worst new killer ever and Ive bought them all. I want my $8 Back. They removed my last post in less than 60 seconds. No swear words. I guess the truth hurts.

His demon dash i only use on big maps to patrol gens, as for chasing down survivors it's utterly useless. I also struggled with the kanabo animation time, holding down thinking surely this can't be right... quickly realised that you didn't have to wait the entire duration -_-
Absolutely love his addons though, the one where you can track when survivors walk through blood orbs. On an indoor map it's lambs to the slaughter.
