If you could change something about the archive challenges, what would it be?

I'd just change it so multiple challenges can be active at once, I think it's weird that we have to select them and only be allowed to complete one at a time.

What would you change or would you not change them at all?

    Have no EGC challenges.

Equip multiple at once, or at least have a killer and survivor challenge equipped at the same time so there is no switching between just to play the other role

They need to consider removing any challenges that can be directly manipulated by other players' behaviors. For example, you can be left unable to complete Obsessive if that player chooses to disconnect at any point. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, survivors get full credit for escaping if the killer disconnects. And if you're playing against Plague you're pretty much guaranteed to make no progress on healing other survivors.

This right here. Allow us to accept 1 killer and 1 survivor challenge. The neutral challenges could count as either, so you could have killer/survivor, killer/neutral, or neutral/survivor selected.

    I

Why select any at all? You have the tier unlocked, you can complete them. Just make sure they can connect to the end in order to advance. You'll still need to target ones as you progress, since it's unlikely they can all get done randomly.

That the hardest one could gain more rift shards, the maximum is 5 for the one-trial challenges, but for the hardest (5 traps, 2 egc saves [which is 100% gonna be on tome 4]) I'd like to obtain 7 or even 10 shards.

Have it so that you can select 2 challenges at once, but only be able to earn progression against one of them at the end of the match. For example you choose the challenges where you have to sacrifice x obsessions and hook the obsession x times (those were 2 of the challenges in tier3 if I remember it right).

At the end of the match if you managed to kill the obsession, you'll take progression for that challenge. If you hooked them, but didn't manage to actually kill them, you'd choose to get progression against the other.

    Counting DC's.

For example : You are the Killer and you have a Challenge like "sacrifice 20 Survivor's " If a Survivor DC's on purpose then it would be counting for the Killer.Otherwise too.

Having a level 1 version of the Perk you need in your storage when you activate a challenge that needs one.

Like: This challenge requires the use of Brutal Strength, so once you activate that challenge, now Brutal Strength level 1 is on every Killer that doesn't have it yet.

The voice acting is terrible. Sounds like it was done in a high school media class.

The challenges make players act like complete spuds because they think they have to do every one in their very first match every single time. This has ruined countless good games.

The challenges are ill-inspired and the rewards are lackluster at best. Believe or not, some people just don't want to play barbie doll dress up with their video games and cosmetics are for 5 year olds.

While the art is top notch, the delivery of the art is a steaming pile of dog turds. The only good thing is they didn't ruin it with their terrible voice "acting" and I put that in quotes because I honestly don't think the person reading actually knew he was being recorded. I wonder if they just stuck a tape recorder under one of the lead devs beds while he sat and read the other developers bed time stories before tucking em in.

What an absolute insult to complain that you only have so much development time, and then you sink countless hours into literally, FLUFF like the archives, mean while, people are still falling through the floor of your game, you still lack basic core PC gaming features, and the last time you released a major or minor update that was "stable" was....never?

But you guys just keep telling em you're happy as long as you get cool new dress up clothes and they'll keep obliging with as many Barbie and Ken costumes as they dump on you.

Simple. They don't want an entire tome to be completed in a few matches.

If you were able to progress all of the challenges in a tier at once, you could have completed the survivor challenges in the first tome in 2 or 3 games by playing Claudette with Empathy, This Is Not Happening, and Plunderers Instinct, leaving one perk slot open for whatever meta perk you wanted. In fact, you could have theoretically completed everything except "Craft Time's Over" and "Bloody Rewards" in a single match by using a purple coin offering.

Same thing with the killer challenges, but even easier since you only have to equip Brutal Strength on the Trapper, leaving you 3 slots for meta perks. You could theoretically complete everything except "Reverent" and "Bloody Rewards" in a single match.

Now that I've typed all that, I realize I may be reading you wrong there. If by "tier" you mean that you can complete any perk that would be selectable in the current system (i.e. you still have to progress down the paths), then I could get behind that idea.

Definitely get rid of the "complete in a single trial" one's.

    Those are frustrating

    Oh.

Get something for completing all challenges on one Tome level.

Like a tier up, a.k.a. 10 Rift Fragments, for each Tome level you complete.

It'd only be 4 out of 70 tiers you'd get, so it wouldn't break the system, and it might still feel worth it to do.

Make all challenges have a killer or survivor option and limit how many you can earn of each one per match. Say two of each challenge and then lower the total amount needed.

It should help with queue times and stop some of the farming scenarios.

Let them give better rewards. Honestly it doesn't feel like I'm being rewarded as much as I should for some of these challenges, like the EGC ones.

Maybe have it so you can have 2 Challenges at once. But other than that, nothing.

I haven't found anything to be exceptionally challenging.
