I think game development companies should convince game platform developers to stop promoting wifi as an alternative to ethernet when playing pvp online games.

The logic is simple. PVP games require stable connections in order for competitive and balanced gameplay. The fact of the matter is that no matter how advanced our wifi connections get they will never surpass hard wired connections due to how electricity works when compared to airborne frequencies and waves.

This can be said for fighting games, shooters, mmorpgs, racers, sports, and so on. We as gamers cannot expect the common adult or child to realize their transgressions because many young adults today do not even know what ethernet is. with that being said companies should not provide the option for wifi as it prevents these individuals from learning how to play online with optimal experiences. especially in the case of consoles which are used solely for games.

leave comments on what you think and if you feel that online gaming should be limited to hard wired access online or not. maybe you feel it should be wifi only? please discuss.

I do wish they would prioritize wired, I agree completely with that but I don't think should force people to stick to wired and only wired or vice versa. Also, yeah, lag is bad in everything but especially fighting games where it can destroy your entire session.

why do you think that players should be allowed the choice since it impacts others. as even in america where we brag about the freedom to do - we also acknowledge that if it is a freedom that imposes on others then that freedom should be limited. such as freedom of speech or assembly.
