FPS drop / 100% CPU usage mid-game

Platform: PC


Description of the issue:

When playing as killer, a few minutes into the game my FPS suddenly drop to single-digit. The task manager shows that CPU usage hits 100%. After a few seconds, the FPS are back to normal, but my game looks like I have all graphics settings to "lowest" (no idea if that's actually how they look, but it's all smudgy and not sharp at all). This started happening a few days ago, presumably when Oni launched or a hotfix thereafter.


Steps to reproduce (if possible):

Dunno, play killer with my PC?


How often does this occur:

Every game after a few minutes when I play killer.
