Rank digress with AFK/TROLLING killers?

Hello people of the fog,

I've been playing dbd today when a really interesting match occurred. The killer was the wraith, which I only did find out at the match. The killer was AFK or Trolling, I don't know, but we never got to meet them. They could've been in the basement or literally anywhere on the map as wraith is totally invisible when cloaked and is not moving. So we repaired all of the generators and escaped the trial. Now the problems with this is the following:

  • I've brought an escape cake and earned only a few drops of blood
  • I've rank digressed (Lost a pip)

Losing a pip means that I'm a bad player on my rank, which happens to be rank 3 by the way. So this means I am a bad player to rank 3 for never meeting the killer in the trial? My emblems where the following:

  • Light Bringer: Gold (Repaired 2 gen and opened exit)
  • Unbroken: Iridescent (Never got downed/hooked)
  • Benevolent: Bronze (No one was hooked or injured--> no save or heal)
  • Evader: NONE (This is the most hilarious, as I never met the killer I've got no emblem in this category)

Overall I've rank digressed and wasted an escape cake for this match. I know the killer also lost a pip, but that was his fault/trolling/afking. I think this is not fair and easily could be abused in the game. This thing should've been looked into in the future and fixed in a way or another.
