Totem perks are useless?
I got a feeling somebody has already brought up this topic, But am i the only person who thinks Totems are practically useless: since 95% percent of the time they spawn in horrible spots and get destroyed in less then 15 seconds when a match starts?
Don't get me wrong, there are some great Totem perks out their, like Ruin, huntress lullaby and such, it's just, there practically useless almost every game, here's an example:
"Match starts off, Coldwind Farm (No surprise their ), begin with the Clown, You start looking around aimlessly for the totem (Totem Ruin), You have no clue on where its at, 10 seconds has gone by and you start to begin to see site of it, Totem has spawned on the far side of the map (where you can barely see it ), without haste you begin running over to protect it; as soon as your about to reach the corner, you hear it, that awful crack of thunder; you reach the corner discovering a Claudette T-bagging at it's broken remains, she continues to T-bag has she slowly walks away, leaving you there, all alone, with your broken Totem, in dismay..."

pretty much. always the claudettes that are the most evil. empathy, my ass. yeah i seldom use them myself either. just waste of a perk slot. once in a blue moon, the totem is somewhat obscured but very seldom.2

Yeah I was talking to a friend of mine about this and we thought that maybe allowing the killer to place the hex totem anywhere, in bounds of the map obviously and not up a tree, but the hex totem will not become active till placed.
The only problem we found with this is that the survivor just needs to watch you place it or see where you came from and retrace your steps.1 -
noed is nice and i still use it on tier 3 but i remember 4 games in a row, it was destroyed within thirty seconds. a potent reason to never play against swf. if they all come in at the same time, dodge. never give these people a chance. they are awful.0

what about noedjust destroy the dull totems not hard, I see a lot of killers with noed but they rarely actually get to use it.
Noed is my favourite hex perk as it is the only one I get to use. But does not work well as it requires for all gens to be done and if you can not find anyone at the end of the game then you are done for.
But this comment does remind me of a game I had where the noed spawned on the totem right behind me as I did the last gen and left the dull totem up and the totem was lit when I did the gen and so the killer had no chance to get it as he was already in a chase

Yeah totems are really pointless. I´ll never understand why survivors are able to destroy a killers perk.
Ruin is only so popular, because it slows down the gen rush by 30 to 60 seconds.
Killers willing to sacrifice a perk slot, just to get barely a minute more to hunt survivors, explains pretty much the state of the game.NOED only hurts gen rushers, and even then, it´s often cleansed right after it spawned (because a totem next to an exit gate, makes so much sense)

Right? I mean i guess i could see how some should be destroyed, because of how powerful they become; like devour of hope and huntress lullaby, but even then, its not fair when survivors can see that perk all the time, even before its active; which makes it useless.
And, dont even get me started on noed...
Huntress lullaby is powerful?
In what universe?!0 -

It would be cool if Huntress Lullaby was just a normal perk!0
