Discordance level 1 is still better than Discordance level 3

Can this get fixed? Just swap the numbers of level 1 and level 3. The faster rate at which it alerts the killer if two or more survivors are still on gens makes sense for it to be level 3.

I think most people would agree with you. I can really only think of one scenario where I preferred having rank 3 to rank 1 on the perk.

As Nurse sometimes I would be busy doing something else and the extra 4 seconds would be a life saver because I was able to see the yellow before it wore off. Not exactly the biggest reason to not change it but I do see use in the current form.

The question basically boils down to, is it more advantageous for the killer to have a longer window in which to notice that the perk has activated, or to have a more accurate idea of how long ago the perk activated?

I would argue that the former is actually more valuable, since the vast majority of the time, in practice, if two survivors start working on a generator together, they will still be there 12 seconds later. If not, at least one of them almost certainly will be. So knowing that the survivors started working together 8 seconds ago as opposed to 12 seconds is actually less important than having a larger window in which to take note of the fact that there have been survivors working cooperatively on said generator recently, particularly considering all the other things the killer might be trying to pay attention to at the time.

Disagree. Having to wait 12 seconds to know whether or not they are still teaming up on the gen is indeed worse than having to wait 8 seconds, and the advantage in the extra four seconds of seeing where they were is virtually nonexistant IMO. I would say Discordance is the only perk in the game currently where Level 3 is almost strictly worse than the Level 1.

You can make arguments for which one is better, but I do find the level 1 version to be more valuable personally. I'd rather it be left the way it is though. Then I only have to find Discordance once on the Bloodweb instead of 3 times... Because some people may prefer the level 3 version over the level 1 version is enough of a reason to leave it how it is

I pretty sure you guys don't understand how this perk works, it triggers when two people on are one gen, and it makes the explosion sound to the killer as long as two + survivors are on said gen. If no explosions are happening than only one person is on the gen.

So technically there is really no difference from level 1 to 3.

I agree with your logic - in the early game. Early on, survivors won’t have much cause to leave their found gens, except maybe to go find ruin if you’re running it. Later on, there’s a lot more reason to be on a gen briefly and then run off. Maybe they want a save, maybe they just realized they’ll 3 gen themselves if they finish that gen, etc. The longer the game goes on, the more frequently I find discordance only exploding once before shutting off. In those circumstances it’s extremely helpful to know you’ll only be pressuring one, or possibly none, instead of the 2+ you were hoping for, which means you have less time to dedicate to that area of the map than you would have otherwise.

That's fair enough. Thanks for taking the time to provide such a reasonable explanation 😊

It would be nice to have the time window as is, but instead of solid yellow, make it flash yellow if someone is actually on the gen.
