DBD main idea has changed over time : proof by the intro videos
Not saying it's a bad thing, but just look at the intro videos.
2016 : Claudette runs, she's scared, there's a spooky / scary feeling. Someone is trapped, another one is hooked. It's like a horror movie.
2017 : Other video but basically the same feeling.
2019 : Badass Yui is gonna kick Oni's butt so hard. She's close to teabag him after getting off her bike.
What do you think ?

I mean, it's an intro video. It doesn't change the overall gameplay or objective of the game. It just shows the new content that got added in, which I think is a great idea. It shows players the new chapter intro for anyone who might have missed it, or didn't know it was released

Maybe the current intro reflects reality while the previous was how it was envisioned.

I'm just saying that the vision of the game by their makers has changed, according on the intro.
It was hide and seek, scary for survivors, now it's cat and mice. Survivors aren't supposed to fear killers anymore.

That's a good point.

I get what you mean. It could just be that Yui just doesn't fear the Oni. She seems to be the kind of girl who lives for the rush since she's a racer, so to be confronted by a 10FT Demonic Samurai creature, this could be just her accepting the challenge.

Isn't the girl in the original trailer early Meg or Nea?

Actually it's a black Meg, she changed after the Alpha. I said Claudette because I watched the video with my 2019 eyes.

Maybe she is just trying to figure everything out. And when she turns around to go back to the bike its gone..... dum dum dum.... then fog clears some and she sees loops and pallets everywhere
