map ideas for upcoming chapters
Hey folks,
looking forward to the year 2020 and the the chapters we will get in that year I wanted to share a couple of ideas regarding new maps. I mean, we got quite some nice maps so far but sometimes I imagine what could be done within "Dead by Daylight".
Since I don't have the tools and skill to create some sort of "preview" of these ideas in my mind I will instead try to color a picture in your head as good as I can from what I have in mind. I hope you enjoy my ideas at least a little bit.
Leave feedback if you want and see you in the fog. :)
PS.: I'm sorry for grammatical mistakes in the text. Shame on me.

1.Spa-Lake-Resort
Once this was a resort for people to enjoy their vacations from work and just relax a little bit, forget about all the daily struggle. People would jump into the sea for a swim or just enjoy the offerings the Spa-bath had for them, like a massage or a mud bath. Nowadays this place has been decayed since the company who owned this place went bankrupt. Nobody is searching for relaxation anymore in this area. Only a few teenagers come from time to time to search within the ruins of the spa for some old relics.
In the middle of the place evolves a big calm lake. Back in the days there were always people swimming in the lake. These days, only a mysterious fog hovers over the water, making you feel a little uneasy when walking on the old wooden boards which were once supposed to guide people around the lake-area.
You can find old spa-buildings all around the lake, hosting a lot of beach-chairs, bathtubs, lockers and lots of sports-equipment. You can even find a tennis and basketball court if you want.
2.Old ship harbour
Years ago a small village was founded right next to this coast. The major of this village had the intention to build up a trade route with an recently discovered ancient native tribe located on a small island just a couple miles away. On the first look this seemed to pay off but shortly after the village was in ruins and nobody was left to tell the story about what happened at this place. Some people say that the people left the village in a hurry after a sickness spread between the villagers. Others claim that the ancient tribe had ambushed the village and murdered all people within it. But who knows really what happened here?
These days there is not much left to visit, except the first ship who was supposed to sail between this harbour and the ancient tribe. The ship was still laying on the docks. The ship was very run down and had lost its former glory. Nontheless the ship is still impressive. Probably about 200 meters long and equiped with 3 decks and a big storage room in the ship's bow. You want to be cautios if you enter the ship by accessing on of the rusted old metal stairs. If you stumble you might get hurt and nobody could help out here.
The interiour of the ship does seem to be in a surprisingly good condition, considering how old all of this is. The machine room does not deliver power anymore for the ship but offers shelter for some animals like rats, birds but also some hobos who sometimes for a couple of nights when it is to cold to travel any further. If you walk through the corridors of the ship you can visit cabins of the crew as well as the ship bridge with all the dozens of switches, buttons, knobs and other control elements.
3.Treehouse-village
A long forgotton tribe within the rainforest once lived here in this village above the ground. They were hunters and gatherers in their purest form. They would never harm mother nature or anybody else. But modern humankind discovered the village and from that day on the old tribe could not life their old lives anymore. Greedy peoples working for even more greedy companies exploited the villagers and their homeland as an attraction for others. It doesn't tool long until a lot of the tribesmen got sick and died. Nobody could explain why that happened, not even the doctors.
Some say that the modern people separated the bond between nature and the tribe and since mother nature couldn't protect them anymore they got sick and died. Of course the owner of the factorys didn't believed in that. So after they couldn't get anymore money out of this place, they left and only ruins of an once proud tribe remained.
The village is floating 10 meters above the ground and consists of separated platforms within the trees connected with hanging bridges made out of lianes and some wood. It must have been a lot of work to set all this up so people could live up here. In the middle of the formation is a much bigger house than all the others. This was supposed to be some sort of "city hall". Their chieftain held up his speeches to his people in this halls. All the buildings are decorated with ancient wooden masks, candles, wooden furniture and different natural materials. It feels almost comfy inside, if you fortget what tragedy happened here.
