After Rank Reset i'm a green rank killer and flooded with toxicity
I am paired with red ranks mostly. Sometimes i get a purple rank. No green rank survivor for me yet.
I get called names and i am insulted most of my games. My favorite one was an insult for typing "gg". I was told it wasnt a good game and i should kill myself.
Somehow i already miss the old rank reset. It wasnt that toxic on a 13th before...

What you should if people get mad its straight just say: "gg", and move on, cuz they are gonna be like: "This guy is not insultable so I just insulted myself", cuz its just like you ignoring someone

Sometimes i'd like to have a grown up talk. Even if i lost the game. Usually there are some moments in a game, that are worth discussing. Looks like it's not possible with the majority of players.

Ignore all post game salt from survivors, they are not considering you so you should not consider them at all, entitled survivors are always annoying but nothing you can do about it.

I find it disturbing to just try to imagine what's going through that other person's head when the first thought they get when someone politely says "gg" is to tell them to go kill themselves Just imagine what must have happened to them to make them be like this

I know it sucks, just don't let it get to you and move on. Their lives must be really sad to end up writing stuff like that, but it sure doesn't make you want to play again.

The quicker you understand there are always manbabies and children that act like that, and you stop caring about things that don't matter, the quicker you won't come on the forums to cry because someone teabagged you at a pallet or acted like said angry child and told you to #########
People have been telling other people to kill themselves in online video games since the beginning of competitive games. Not that I condone that at all, simply report it and move on.

I'm used to the #########-messages. Not that cool for people with depression, but i just write "gg wp" and i'm fine. There are enough people that are able to admit a win or loose or even write some criticism without insulting me.

The lack of killers and the rank reset changes they just did has left lower rank killers getting put into those higher rank games unfortunately.

At first yes, however, going forward (i.e. after a couple of rank resets) the majority of the player base will be at red or purple ranks, meaning that as killer you'll still face red ranks survivors, but there will be many more potatoes at those ranks that there currently are. Great for queue times at higher rank, bad for killers who fell victim to ranking up above their skill level, as the skill of their opponents will vary quite inconsistently (i think)

I really hope that they reconsider their change. I mean, I get it, it is to avoid new players being mixed with people who were in High Ranks and are only in yellow Ranks because of Rank Reset.
But the quality of games you get as Red Rank Survivor is really bad close before Rank Reset, because even when you are Rank 1 after a week at max, you will get matched with people who just reach Rank 4 close before Rank Reset. And those people will be in Rank 5 now, so they will be in Red Ranks pretty fast.
Prime example, two days ago: Played on Hawkins, with a David and two Megs vs Pig. At one point: Meg Number 1 running around with an active Trap 3/4 of timer already gone, David running around with an active Trap, almost half of the Timer gone. Myself on the hook. Meg Number 2 is... doing a Gen.
Even when Meg Number 1 died from her Trap and David was hooked as well, she did not move from her Gen. She only moved once the Pig was close to her... Those are the players who barely reach Red Ranks near the end of the "season".
Also I enjoyed the previous Rank Reset, because on both sides it was relaxing for a few days.

True but now you'll have excess survivors at those ranks hence making them trickle down to lower rank killers. I suppose in the grand scheme of things though, that excess high ranks aren't really "high ranks".

Yeah. I feel like it's going to become a bit of a mess. I hope it has something to do with/is a step towards implementing the new ranking system that the developers talked about at the 3rd anniversary. Namely, introducing individual ranking systems for each killer (e.g. trapper competes with other trappers, billy - with other billies, etc.), which should, in theory, come alongside a rework of the survivor ranking system

That is exactly what I'm hoping for. While individual killer ranks does have its flaws, I think it would fix more problems than it would cause.
I used to look forward to rank reset to get to have fun with the less viable killers and now that isn't ever going to happen again. Individual killer ranks would fix that. I think this is something a lot of killers look forward to as well and without having it I feel it is going to cause a lot more killer burn out if they don't.

That's why I record my play and rewatch them later. Too toxic to typically chat with people and ask questions. Sometimes I get lucky and run into someone I know.

This is why you face camp all survivors into oblivion. Well the first two, toy with with the last two to get your points. They deserve nothing more.
