Just when exclusives went away, new ones came out
Just a month later of getting announced that exclusives wouldn't be exclusives anymore, we get these for mobile, or at least only the ones who can play it in their country, that's how it becomes exclusivity.
One of the reasons why exclusives got free on everywhere, was because consoles couldn't get any way to get them, only available by PC keys and steam inventory trade. This problem is back again but now on mobile.
In the comunication, it said there was a part were it said that these cosmetics is a present for the ones who supported the beta test, but, just in the same text, it said that the launch should have already arrived and it got delayed to 2020, so there's no way that instead if working on the game, devs decided to make 4 new skins in a very little period of time, so it's more likely that these skins weren't suposed to be a gift for the beta testers.
And to end, I would like to ask why mobile dbd is getting these skins and not consoles and pc too. In those platforms we paid for the game, and for event cosmetics we had to gain them in events if we wanted them for free instead for 10$ each outfit, but now in mobile you can play for free and get these cosmetics fully free without gaining them ingame or doing something for. Just logging up.

It's mobile... nobody really cares to be honest.

It's not about mobile, it's about the exclusives

Mobile is run by a different team - it's basically a completely different game, just with a lot of characters and mechanics in common. Anything that the Dead By Daylight devs tell us about the game doesn't necessarily apply to DBD Mobile.
So when it comes to the skins, if the mobile devs want to give out exclusives to their beta testers, that's their business. It has nothing to do with us.

If Mobile is really done by another company, this can happen. They probably have to follow BHVR in huge aspects of the game, but also have a free hand on other decisions.
(I know this from World of Tanks - the game overall is pretty balanced, but the Chinese Server is not running under Wargaming, the main company. So the Chinese Server, in exchange to the access of Tank Data for ingame Tanks, can have their own rule. This results in high Tier Premium Tanks, which are simply overpowered, because they can do so).
So I would not compare Mobile to other Platforms, if it is really not the same company.
Besides that, those Skins are ugly.

Even if it's run by other company, the license is still from behaviour. They had to ask them before posting these cosmetics in the game, and I doubt that the game director is different. Anything implemented on pc and consoles is later developed in mobile except characters. So no, it's not their business.

The free exclusives we got recently were junk too. Seriously people complained about Color 1 2 3 4 Lmfao.

It's not done by another company, it's still BHVR, but BHVR is big. Just look at their website - they've got four different games currently advertised on there, all independent of one another and run by entirely separate teams. DBD Mobile is a "sister game", if you like, to DBD, but my understanding is the two are as distinct from a development perspective as any of those other games they've created.

that doesn't mean that the guy who got up with creating these didn't need to ask to the main game director
btw deathgarden has stopped being on work.

Different dev team, different motto's. Plus we don't know if those skins will be returning or not next year, so it's not really exclusive.

Whether Mathieu Cote (I assume that's who you're referring to) is the director of both projects is unclear from what I could find, but regardless, it doesn't matter. Even if he is also in charge of the mobile port, he is free to make different decisions in each case. The two are still separate games and any information about one or intentions declared by the developers of one game have no bearing on the other, even if there is overlap between the two teams, which we don't know for a fact is even the case.
(Also, I'm aware that development has ceased on Deathgarden, but that's entirely beside the point and you know it.)

They're still owned by BHVR so it does have to do with the game.
2 -
You'd have to personally ask Mathieu if he has anything to do with mobile, as he is the director.

Thematically, perhaps, but not to the degree that decisions made about one game should necessarily have any impact on the other.

Also those skins look awful tbh so, I'm okay. If they give demogorgon skins on there but not here tho I will riot.

of course cote is free for that, just it looks a little bit hypocrite to tell everyone no more exclusives, let's give them to everyone and a month later do this

different team, but same company and director

"we dont want any more exclusives to exist" - the DbD Dev team.
also the DbD Dev team: *releases multiple platform exclusive skins*
3 -
Except it's not hypocritical at all because there's no deception or double standard going on here. If you're going to call the devs out for doing the wrong thing, that's perfectly fine, but at least call them out for something they actually did wrong.

Games do this all the time. Exclusive items for platform. Exclusive items for preorder. Exclusive items for going to an event.
Some of them are exclusive for a short time. Some of them arent.
Just because mobile has a set of skins that were just showcased with no information regarding the future, i dont see where the foundation for complaints come.
If you want the skins get the game. Other than that wait. Im sure they will be available for the global mobile release.

Not how that works. Just because it's the same company doesn't mean they follow the same motto. It's why Deathgarden and DBD have different rules when it comes too things like this, because it's different teams who make the rules for the different games.

dbd and dbd mobile are the same game

These skins look bad anyway. They're just recolors of base cosmetics, so I wouldn't get too frustrated over it. Our skins that cost $10 actually change the base cosmetic and aren't just recolors, which are usually brown/yellow quality. These wouldn't be purple skins in the main game.

Claudette's pink shirt was brown quality, the same with different shirt logo in front is ultrarare, but this is not my point, it's that we were suposed to get out of the exclusivity in DbD.
If you're the instagram guy, I like your profile btw

but they are different teams with different rules and mottos. Look at blizzard, They are all under the same company, but the different teams make different rules for the different games.

Oh, I don't do instagram because no one wants to see this face 😁 Anyway, I was just saying they're bad skins. I don't think the devs meant they were getting rid of console exclusives, but event-only cosmetics that were based on codes from video game/comic conventions. IMO it was a genius move by the devs once they learned of people selling the brazilian shirt Claudie skin for $2000 and some other ones were going for $150-500.
There's still I think a Switch-exclusive Trapper skin, legacy skins on PC no one can get anymore on any platform, and the event cosmetics that aren't available for ACs that they've closed the book on. It sucks if you like these quick and dirty icy cosmetics, but it just doesn't look like they invested too many resources into making them.

Those are ugly as sin. Ew.

Their both 2 different games so it dosent apply to DBD mobile a example of this is how DBD mobile hasn't got Stranger Things or Cursed Legacy
