Doctor Rework Leaks Thoughts
Okay so we saw some leaks on the doctor. I really hope they do not take away his treatment mode. The passive madness increase is iconic and fun, and also i really liked that you can be in this mode and it let you able to relieably get grabs on survivors.
Ever since dedicated servers, grabs for killers have been very bugged and you can see the animation play but it wont grab. Doctor in treatment mode is the only way to get a grab relieably now with the dedicated server lag. Please dont take away his treatment grabs.
Also I saw no mention in his new leaked power of the "Skill Checks have a 33 %, 66 % or 99 % chance of appearing in a random location while in Madness I, II or III, respectively."
I really hope this is not changed because this is one of his most iconic aspects and makes some skillchecks actually harder to hit with unnerving presence. (nowadays survivors are so good they can constantly hit great skillchecks even with ruin up)
It would also be nice if his shock could have some way of slowing down or countering loops. I really hope this "rework/buff" doesnt turn into actually making doctor even worse of a killer than he already is.

Another thing is I suggest keeping his treatment mode, but removeing the huge speed penalty that he gets while in it

I think the only thing that would really change with Doctor are his add-ons, mostly because they don't meet the add-on recquirement. Doctor is definitly a fun killer to play as and against in most cases.

Based on how some of these leaked add-ons are worded, it seems like they are definitely planning to change Doctor's Static Field/Treatment Mode in some way.

It does sound like they're taking away the static field which would suck but at the same time the new static shock I'm hoping is going to be their answer to looping as maybe it works in a field around him so you can more easily hit survivors with it while chasing them around a loop. It would also be nice if it added a slight slowdown effect like Freddy's snares.

It looks they're removing his treatment mode. The static blast looks like it'll be the replacement for the static field. It'll have a range of 32 meters and have a cooldown. This also means that you don't have to switch modes to use shock therapy. Unless they buff the ######### out of his shock, reveal more information about the static blast, or give us some new powerful add-ons, this looks like an unecessary nerf. As for the grabs, it looks like the devs are still going to ignore them for some odd reason. They shouldn't have left the dedicated servers in with grabs being this #########.
The random skill check placement was never a part of his in-game tooltip. It'll still be there.
His shock therapy has a stun, but it's bugged and doesn't always work. I'm hoping the devs will address this and that they didn't just go after the parts that Survivors deemed "unfun". Doctor's a very fun Killer and I would hate to see him nerfed because of bad Survivors.

In my opinion the only thing he needed was a shorter charge time and longer range for the shock. Maybe even a passive ability like spirit had. But hey, I'm not going to say No to a rework ;)

Seems like his new power will have a power gauge bar like any of the new killers.

Without all information there is nothing to talk about tbh. We know some Add On Description Changes, those indicate that they want to get rid of the Hostage Doc-Build (which is insanely boring).
But other than that, we dont know anything. Maybe they will even change his Base Power (more Range, maybe Moldy Electrode is not needed anymore for example, maybe different Charge Time or other way this mechanic works).
Guess we know enough around the Mid Chapter Patch.

I'm guessing they're gonna make it so treatment and punishment mode are one in the same, meaning he can swing his weapon or use his shocks at will without switching back and forth. The best way to play doc right now is to shock, then IMMEDIATELY switch to punishment. Like you need to switch instantly when the shock is completed to actually be able to close the distance. If they reduce the slowdown he could be a more effective clown.
