Killers with bad connection (console).

Let me preface this with I get it that EVERYONE who has this game bought it, but here's where the problems start. We were suppose to be on servers back in September, but since we're not people with garbage can internet have still been able to get away with bs wins simply because four survivors were getting "rubberbanded" while running, being in a chase, being on a generated and literally getting lagged off it. The killer part (no pun intended) is that the killer ACKNOWLEDGED he had bad internet and said "I would've gotten the 4k anyways 😯". Please explain how this is fair in any sense. Not talking about any mechanics, just want to hear some opinions because apparently, servers for consoles isn't a top priority at BHVR and yet we're suppose to just play and accept playing on shite internet.

You realize there's a lobby ping for a reason, don't you? If it's a green ping and a stable number you can't rubberband. If you stay in a yellow or even red ping lobby with an unstable number you will obviously rubberband all over the place.

That's not true. I've been in several games with yellow ping and been fine and vice versa. Games already take half a day to get into so why would I pull a killer and start lobby dodging (which already happened three times tonight from killer, but that's another discussion).

Read again. I said if you stay in a yellow or red ping lobby with an UNSTABLE number/ping. Bad ping stability coupled with a high ping (yellow/red) is what causes you to rubberband and freeze all over the place.

If you're in a lobby take a look at the number of the ping and make sure it's not a jumping number. If it's a low yellow ping (around 110 give or take) and it stays between 110-130 you'll be fine (for the most part). However if it's unstable and keeps jumping between let's say 100 and 180+ expect to rubberband all over the place.

Doesn't mean the game doesn't still have problems at Green ranks. I've been in games where the connection is stable overall and when a killer hits a survivor, myself and others get a lag spike. Either way it's a problem and you shouldn't have to go from lobby to lobby, as a survivor, just to find a decent game. This game has been out four years now so there's really no excuses on BHVR part.

Those lag spikes during a hit are mostly game performance issues. That's not the result of the killer's internet. Even as a killer I get lag spikes every now and then when hitting a survivor even though I'm the host on console. It happens especially if a debuff is applied with the hit. Not sure why.

Anyways as far as I know all the game issues haven't been solved with dedicated servers. In fact dedicated servers seem to "hide" killers with bad internet making them teleport all over the place while hitting you through dropped pallets or even through walls. I wouldn't specifically ask for dedicated servers as long as they're basically worse than peer to peer connection.
