I'm curious, how do people get the Trusted status? Does BHVR just give it out to people or do you apply or what?

Basically, Trusted members are chosen by the community team (which I believe includes the devs and mods) for being helpful, reasonable, friendly and active on the forums. It's not something you can apply for, you just be generally a positive presence on the forums and eventually get recognised. Trusted members are identifiable by the "Trusted" tag.
Forum User of the Month is something that barely anyone knows about because it hasn't really been talked about aside from being mentioned in passing in the original post that was made explaining the Trusted Members Pilot (link below). Forum Users of the Month are selected on a monthly basis for basically being a standout presence on the forums, either by being particularly helpful or active or having made significant personal improvements.
FUotM are granted a special profile picture with a red background, and some are also selected to become Trusted. For example, Divine_Confetti, LordGlint and I were FUotM last month. This is also why all the Trusted members also have the red background on their avatar, because all of them have been selected as FUotM at some point.

See my comment above for details. Basically, there haven't been any official posts made about it. It was just mentioned in passing once, but it has similar criteria to Trusted and the red profile picture is for FUotM, not Trusted (although many people get the two confused because of overlap between the two and lack of information about FUotM).

You get it once you die by natural causes or other. Your soul is then merged with a forum bot where you then get the "Trusted" tag and are forced to spend your eternity on the forums with no free will. You will be assimilated soon enough!

There are 12 sections each has about 7-8 sub sections and each has about 45-52 paragraphs. Except Section 7 sub section 5, it has 3 paragraphs.
